Something I've been worried about

So I've been on this subreddit for ages. Even after I've stopped kratom, I think it's important that people have access to it. I know how much it helps people. And there's been one thing about the lawmaking that has worried me to no end. I wanted to see if anyone else had the same worry.

It was MGM-15 and MGM-16. I've known about these for awhile now. And I was worried that if they only banned 7-OH, we would just be in the same place as now. I feel that local legislators would have gotten annoyed that new things kept popping up, and they sentiment to ban regular kratom would eventually take over.

And like clockwork, the 7-OH suppliers have already started switching to MGM-16. They likely didn't anticipate that the feds would also ban those and expect that it would be a wide open loophole. And then it would be some goofy whack-a-mole thing, and the local governments would lose their patience.

Hitting them all at once was a very smart move.

I do worry about other analogues and synthetic bastardized things popping up. Even with 7-OH, it can turn into 8-OH and 11-OH, which is part of why 7-OH is dangerous. There's always going to be an attempt to make new things to sell. The only thing that will keep regular kratom safe is that it's normalized into society. I think the AKA needs to work on regulation across the states. And maybe also labeling of products. Because people hate those tacky kratom signs and all of that. I want regular kratom to stick around. It helps so, so many people.

Anyway, I was just curious if this was on the back of anyone else's mind the past few months.

P.S.: Let's not make fun of the 7-OH people. Yeah they're annoying. They can't spell. They go on weird tangents that are conspiratorial and have no grounding in real life. But they're people. And maybe they can realize after awhile that maybe it was a bit crazy to think 7-OH would ever remain legal to buy at stores. Maybe some of them will land back on regular kratom and watch their bank accounts go back up. Either way, stay strong guys. I know that withdrawal from that stuff can't be easy.

I keep forgetting he's gone

Every time I decide to watch an interview or whatever with him, it legitimately doesn't feel like he's gone. I've never really had this phenomenon with another celebrity after they passed.

I watched the Turning Oliver Tree Emo video recently, and he's so funny in the whole thing. It reminded me a lot of the H3 Podcast episodes with him. By the end, it's just chaos.

And then at the end, you remember. But for almost half an hour, he's basically still alive in your mind. At least for me. I think that it's because he was just so funny. And, as cliche as it to say, he was genuinely full of life. More so than most.

And I think that tells you something about life. Even when you're gone, that energy remains. Like you can't take that away, no matter what. It's part of his legacy. I find a little comfort in that. As bad as the accident was, that energy is strong enough to override it.

I'd definitely recommend the video to anyone who hasn't seen it. But I'm guessing most have already seen it on here. Regardless, just wanted to share my thoughts to someone. Anyone, really. Thanks for taking the time to read it, if you made it this far.

Does anyone have any update on Nevada?

I don't live in the state but occasionally go there for conventions. I know that the Board of Pharmacy recommended it be Schedule I (and I believe they have the authority to make it happen), but that was a few months ago. I went on their site and see that they've had meetings since then and nothing about kratom was on their itinerary. At least from the brief search I saw.

Does anyone know what's going on with that state? It would be so ridiculous to take the Alabama route and start arresting all the people that go to Las Vegas. I'm sure there's also Canadians that take it too, and they've had a huge drop in that regard. Not to mention from all the other US states. I don't even take kratom anymore, but I think it's such a terrible idea from any point of view. Maybe they're waiting to see what happens federally?

I'm just curious if anyone knows anything else. Thank you!

A request from the Bob Dylan delegation

I've seen people talking about this for ages, and I've wondered if you guys know any more information than we do. For reference, I'm a fairly big Beatles fan. Like I read the anthology book, watched the original anthology DVDs, read a few biographies, etc. But I definitely know Dylan's career better in terms of intricacies (or at least, as much as you can gather. He's famously pretty secretive)

The topic is the whole "Bob Dylan told John to watch out for Yoko Ono" thing.

So from what I can loosely gather, my interpretation is this: George was in Woodstock. Likely 67-68 or whenever he visited Dylan while he was living the super domestic life. Pretty famous trip in both fanbases, probably. Anyway, I *think* the story is that Bob told George "Hey, John should watch out with Yoko. She's got a bad reputation in NYC". Then apparently George mentioned this to John (maybe as an attempt to persuade him?). Is that mostly the story?

I always wondered if this caused John to like Dylan less, if so. Like the whole "I don't believe in Zimmerman" line. Saying he didn't like anything Dylan did past 1966. The Serve Yourself rebuttal, etc.

I'm just looking for general information or clarity on all that. Does anyone know the alleged story any better than that? It could all be made up, but I'm just curious if anyone knows more about it. If so, I appreciate it!

Why do so many touring members of famous bands look so similar?

I'm talking about specifically rock here, to be clear. Especially with legacy artists that were popular in the 1960s-70s.

The guitars and bassists they hire almost always look like half siblings of Joe Perry. Like the same slender build, usually longer faces, same sort of hair like that too. Very 80s. The guitarists look like this basically every single time.

This trend probably isn't as common in newer artists. But every time I see a famous older rock artist, you see these guys as their touring members. Anytime they do a live appearance on shows, you notice it too. Honestly if I found out it was the same two guys every time, at least that'd be a normal explanation.

I just don't know where they found so many people that look the same. I'm guessing they're hiring from a pool of very talented guitarists from the 80s, when that sort of style had a lot more people involved.

Hopefully at least some of you know what I'm talking about and I don't sound crazy. I bring this up because I saw Paul McCartney on SNL and he has two of them. But I've seen them with lots and lots of older artists. Never in the band though. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride who gets royalties.

If you could change the Chex Mix ratio, what would it be?

You can change it to have more or less of water you want in there. Remove it entirely, double the Chex pieces, half the bread sticks, etc. What would be the new recipe, according to you?

Does anyone have any updates about Nevada?

I know the Board of Pharmacy suggested scheduling, but I really am worried about that state. Having a place like Vegas arresting people for kratom use is ridiculous. It's just been quiet for a month or so.

I've just been reading about hairline, and I was wondering if anyone recovered and had some of their hairline come back over time. I've seen it happen with other drugs, but I'm just curious.

Luckily, I didn't have a severe case of this or anything like that. But I did have general hair loss. Just curious if anybody (men or women) got a better hairline after stopping!

They're the only two Traveling Wilburys left. It's been that way for a good few years now. I always wondered if there's any information about that out there.

I know Jeff Lynne definitely lives in LA and has for awhile. Feels like the Wilburys was definitely an LA based thing at the start. But I also know Bob Dylan seems damn near without a home. Always just traveling around and touring. Not sure if they were ever super close or anything, but I'd assume they'd be friends to some degree

Always just wondered if they kept up with each other in the later years or anything like that
