Star in the Mist: mood sketches and curse.

I did a couple of pencil sketches to set the mood of The Star in the Mist, that will serve as a hook to my Kathuphazgan campaign. I also wrote a little poem in spanish and english that will serve as>! the curse the Witch King casted upon the ruins and its dwellers !<for whomever who wants to use it in their campaigns.

Usapthon and Zoril pencil and inks.

I keep fleshing out the campaign I'm preparing based on the idea of the Kathuphazgan raiding the Grey Havens and so I did some alternate art for Usapthon and Zoril. Now when presenting the two main villains players would see how I envision them. Later I might do a proper scan and start passing all the artworks into a pdf in case some of you want to use it in your own campaigns (I'm working in some artwork for The Star in the Mist as a hook to this campaign too). They will be totally free. I'm out of the bussiness and doing all this because is fun.

Kathuphazgan concept.

I did this Kathuphazgan pencil concept artwork for a campaign I'm preparing based on the Raid on the Grey Havens LotR LCG scenario. Zoril and her pirates will try to put to the torch the Grey Haven's port and ships and only the player heroes can stop her.

Hand Drawn Elven-Light 3 versions.

Finally I did two more versions of Elven-Light in spanish, trim them and sleeved them with some unused campaign cards to add them to my decks. I think they look quite nice. What do you think?

Hand Drawn Elven-Light.

So, after completing the first three scenarios of The Dreamchaser campaign I decided to give myself a little treat and I drawn my own traditional art version of Elven-light (in spanish) using only pencils and markers in the same size of a normal card. I'll probably draw two more to have three with different art and then let's see how my decks perform with them. :)

I beated The Raid on the Grey Havens!

Finally, after countless attempts with Elves of Lórien, the Rohirrim from Saga, Gandalf and even Tactics Prince Imrahil, I was able to beat this scenario, yet on 'easy' mode. Hero lineup was Éowyn, Théoden and Gimli. The core were the rohirrim allies I could muster from the saga expansions, that's why Théoden is there. And to be honest, Grimbold is a real life savior. Negating enemy attacks and coming back to my hand thanks to Gamelin ability is what saved me from getting obliterated by Sahir. Gimli is the killer of the deck. Citadel plate and two undefended attacks and the guy hits for 10. Sahir's devastator went out in turn one thanks to Gimli and a well placed Unexpected Courage on Théoden. Good opening and at the end I almost lose by location locking. The deck has 3 of each Forest Courier, that Rhovanion rider and Northern Tracker, though only one Northern tracker showed up to die in the hands of Na'Asiyah. 48 threat and Théoden and Gimli at one hitpoint of death. Quite close.

I am so happy, but really tired. I liked this scenario so much that I think I'm going to do a The One Ring 2.0 campaign ispired by it. What a thrill!

I need inspiration to beat Escape from Dol Guldur.

As the title says. I lost the account of how many times I was beated by this quest in true solo. Even using the Elves of Lorien starter I usually stand up to 3 or 5 turns until 2 Orcs of Dol Guldur or any other treachery send one of my two heroes to the Halls of Mandos.

Today I made some progress using a Rohirrim deck I assembled using Eowyn (spirit), Dunhere and Theodred. I reached the second stage (Nazgul joins stagging area where the Dungeon Jailor was warding the skeleton key) and suddenly I had to face Ungoliant's Spawn, the next turn Orcs of Dol Guldur and Chief Uthak the next one. I got rid of Orcs of Dol Guldur and was barely able to quest thanks to Eowyn and Celebrian stone, but after losing Gambling and Northern tracker ans with a threat of 35 and three damaged heroes I conceded.

Almost no locations in this run, so I was able to quest very quickly the first stage (Northern Tracker was ok, though), but the mission deck was heavy on encounters this time.

It seems that when I have the cards for questing I encounter enemies and when I got the cards for combat I face locations. That if I don't lose the game just in the setup.

How do you focus this Quest?

Edit: I forgot to mention I own Revised Core, Elves Starter and the 3 LotR Sagas.
