Mold or flour? Fresh Market Bakery $10

Very pleased by the quantity! The lemon bars and the rosemary rolls are definitely good. But the sandwich rolls and burger buns have this white substance on them... I am trying to convince myself it's flour but I don't really think so. Also, I thought the muffins were double chocolate because they're so brown but I bit into the dryesttt most overbaked chocolate chip muffin I have ever tried lol.

Each flair worse than the last

My journey started 2.5 years ago. I've been dealing with a bulging disc at L5-S1 and mild stenosis. Every flare I've had has been totally different. For most of them, the sciatic pain goes down my left leg even though my bulging disc is on the right.

My last flare was mostly felt in my back and it was a solid month of 7/10 pain constantly, until I woke up one day unable to do anything but cry. I managed to make it to urgent care 5 min away, where I laid on the floor in the lobby crying while waiting. Got a toradol shot and muscle relaxers that did help enough to get me moving around again. After this flare ended, I actually went a beautiful month or so nearly pain free!

Now I'm having the worst nerve pain I've ever had. At a 9/10 for the past week. This time, it is actually down my right leg. My knee and foot are throbbing. My hip feels like it's broken or something, it feels like it's grating or catching every time I move. Barely able to get in and out of chairs and my bed. Thankfully my toilet is in a little cove and I'm able to grab the walls and door frame for assistance, otherwise I don't know if I'd be able to handle going to the bathroom. I can't find a sleeping position that isn't painful, so I've been knocking myself out with edibles in order to sleep. Fortunately and unfortunately, I'm unemployed right now, otherwise I don't know how I'd work even with accomodations.

I've seen an ortho NP, a neurosurgeon, and a pain management doc. I've had three ESIs and done PT. Didn't help. I'm also currently physically unable to do any of the pain relieving exercises they taught me. The neuro told me I need a fusion, which I'm terrified of. But I think I'm finally ready for surgery. Every time I have a period of minimal pain and start exercising again, the pain returns. EVERY form of physical activity seems to trigger it. I've tried F45, yoga, pilates, and lap swimming, all with modifications as needed. The only thing that works for me is sitting around doing nothing but that's terrible for me in every other way. I've always been an active, athletic, outdoorsy person and I can't live like this any more.

I have an appointment next week with a well-regarded spine specialist ortho-surgeon. I think I'll also try one of the online second opinion services. Chronic pain sucks, I'm young and none of my friends have any so they don't understand. They sure do love offering up remedies to try though. I know it's out of love but it's so frustrating to be given advice from people who know absolutely nothing about back pain.

Not too sure how I feel about all of it but I do think their proposed hours of operation being 10 AM-5 PM Monday through Saturday is asinine.

Here are their demands:

For medical cannabis in particular, the City Planning Commission should adopt

the following recommendations:

(1) 1,000 ft distancing or buffer zones for daycare centers, K–12 schools and

churches (where youth programs are frequently held); and 500-1000 ft

distancing from colleges and institutes of higher learning;

(2) strict limits on exterior signage;

(3) permitting in commercial zoning only; or permitting by conditional use only

in residential and mixed-use neighborhoods;

(4) operational standards should establish limited hours (10-5, M-Sat.; closed

on Sundays; no drive-throughs, and security guards patrolling both the interior

and exterior of the outlet;

(5) outlet concentration should be avoided;

(6) all advertising should be appropriate to medical marijuana, not

recreational, which is illegal in La.;

(7) data reporting is necessary, with an annual review upon renewal of the

business license; and

(8) strict enforcement with graduated penalties.
