Oh Happy Day!!!
The AC Ace has to be one of the prettiest shapes ever constructed. Love this car.

“Dad! Dad!I’ve got to get to Poole Station. Can you take me?” says youngest.
“What time do you need to be there?”
“Half two”
“We’d need to leave 3 minutes ago. And mum’s got the car.”
“Galahad!” says youngest and off we go!
And so, 35 minutes later, a train is caught (just). Keeping up with modern traffic indeed!
My Spitfire4 and my partner’s TR4a, out together in the sunshine.
Popped in for fuel and found myself adjacent to a car of a different era.
Anyone else finding they’re getting 90+ second unstoppable ads? Clicking through just pauses the timer and opens App Store, resuming when the ad has the focus again.
I’m in the Uk but travel between here and the US a fair bit. Never got anything over 20 secs in the US. Here the ads (by the time the timer has run out, it’s taken you to App Store, you’ve cancelled and seen the playable demo, skipped that after 15 seconds) take at least 2 minutes to clear.
Not really any fun anymore.
Time to take the roof off our gallant steed. The nice thing about a Surrey top is the centre panel is surprisingly small. Easy enough to carry by yourself. Mine lives in the downstairs bathroom until the bad weather returns. :)
Missing a three, but good coverage otherwise.
I’m constantly seeing API Error: 529 Overloaded. This is a server-side issue, usually temporary — try again in a moment. If it persists, check https://status.claude.com.
That URL says no issues detected.
Anyone else seeing this?
With the GT6 finally coming to completion the parts bin has been raided. One inspection lamp shade. A few sheets of gauze. A little wiring, and one decommissioned layshaft with 111,000 miles of wear.
Too pretty to put aside.
Long time coming, obviously, but glad to finally bag it.
Lovely to see these British classics on the hill at Gurston
One year in. I’ve shared my hobbies, built friendships, and learned so much. Ever onwards!
