**Interesting Konami lottery patent I found that could explain your "luck" opening player packs**
I was looking into those eFootball “tricks” influencers share for getting Epics, like making a new game plan with GP players or leaving empty positions before spinning.
I couldn’t find anything in Konami’s patent supporting that.
What I did find is more interesting: Konami has Japanese lottery patents, JP5105497B1 and JP5599855B2, currently listed as active.
They describe a system where draw probabilities can change based on your player ID, cards you already obtained, and recent lottery history. For example, recently obtained cards can have their probability reduced, increasing the chance of getting something different.
The patent even mentions that reducing normal-card duplicates could indirectly increase the chance of getting a rare card, which is why it can limit how far back it looks at your previous pulls.
So if anything like this is used in eFootball today, your recent pulls and collection history would probably matter more than putting bad GP players in your starting XI.
Of course, having a patent doesn’t prove eFootball currently uses this exact system.
Still, I think this is way more interesting than the usual “change your squad before spinning” theories.
Has anyone actually tested spins based on recent pulls or cards already owned?
EDIT: Theres even an older patent that is more explicit, you can look on google for patent WO2013038590A1.
This one describes also that paid lotteries (in eFootball would be paid coins) having better rare-item odds than free ones.
