Not just different corner radii, now we got liquid glass inconsistencies as well.

I know I’m nitpicking, but I genuinely don’t understand how we’re here again.

Last year, with 26 had the whole “different corner radii” saga. This year, Apple said they were committed to fixing those inconsistencies and paying more attention to detail with Liquid Glass.

But now we have Liquid Glass behaving differently within the same controls the volume slider is clear and glassy, while the brightness control looks much more matte and opaque, and even the corner radii don’t seem consistent.

EDIT: Here is the same display control with more liquid glass when opened from the control center, instead of the menu bar. same setting-same control-but different liquid glass.

Why doesn’t Apple do this system-wide?

Liquid Glass looks great in Clear and Tinted, but why does Tinted stop at the Home Screen?

Imagine the same tinted Liquid Glass treatment inside system apps too.

Wouldn’t that make iOS feel a lot more cohesive?

Preview icon looks odd in clear/tinted mode

I like the rest of icon changes in iOS 27 but preview just doesn’t make sense. Whats the grey square supposed to be? A photo?

Clear vs Tinted. Which looks better?

I have been leaning more tinted for the last few days and it’s not bad at all!
