Little frog pouch

Inspired by this pattern/ tutorial: https://youtu.be/q71YC3AHmSY?si=o7B3xgdxIqK9ADHi I watched it through, but did some things differently. I didn’t have any safety eyes, so I made some magic rings with 8scs. If I were to do it again, I’d use some plastic eyes.

The arms/ legs I did a magic ring of 5 and built out the length. The toes are chains with scs.

The eye areas are clusters of dcs

The tongue is just rows of scs with a decrease abd a cluster of dcs at the end to round it out.

I’m currently working on the strap. I’ll give it to my three year old to wear when she wants to collect rocks outside or carry little toys

Am I doing yarn over or under? I can’t tell if I’m doing it correctly.

Turtle dress up

Not an original idea, I’ve seen a few variations made on YouTube. Each shell has four chain 4 straps underneath to fit onto the turtle kind of like a double backpack. I just freehanded and experimented as I went along.

I made the head first then shaped in and back out to form the body and tiny tail. The flippers are just circles, folded over snd stitched together.

I’m sure I will make a few more shells.

I followed this tutorial: https://youtu.be/XY7vZbfo0IY?si=H03qEYPm4oEYTR8N

I just did a solid color for the head and body and only two stripes on the legs. The tutorial was really easy to follow. I did out some pipe cleaners inside.

I thought about attaching some Velcro to the bottom she could stick to things.

Fun project, I thought I would get bored doing the legs but once I memorized the leg portion of the pattern it was kind of relaxing.

Also the eyes I used were bigger than what she used. That’s the only saftey eyes I found at hobby lobby. So my legs may be a bit more crowded than they should be. I do like the cartoony eyes and would use them again if I made another spider, I may just want to c rows the fangs closer together next time

I really enjoy making this square. After several months of crocheting this is my first big completed project. I’ve dabbled with some amigurumi and learning different stitches, but I always get caught up in experimenting and never follow through with finishing something until this. I’m a big fan of the continuous join as you go.
