Not a bad week.
Super bummed about the hair dryer. I was so excited to get it and was convinced it was going to be amazing but I was definitely disappointed in it.

I am so excited to try these today! I can’t believe how fast they came! I’ve been using GHD flat irons for decades so I have high expectations for these! For all of you that scored these last night, congrats! Would love to hear what you think.
UPDATE:
I have now used the dryer twice and if I’m being honest, I couldn’t recommend it. Not for $429.
It’s absolutely beautiful. Dries very quickly as it’s intended. With very high pressure. Even in the lower settings. I have a short bob haircut with very vine hair. It took 2 minutes and 38 seconds to fully dry out of the shower. But…. It’s incredibly heavy to me. Heavier than my old school Elchim. Also, the buttons are incredibly sensitive and easy to accidentally hit and change the settings if you don’t “lock” it, which it does have a feature where you can lock the settings.
The results are somewhat better with less frizz than an Elchim and Dyson but I don’t think enough so to merit the price tag. Anyway, I’m still happy and grateful to have gotten it. I just think for the price I personally would rather have something smaller and lighter.
Prime Day slowed it down but I still got some great things and I am so grateful for anything I get.

I am so annoyed because I did grab it. It’s a tiny travel size. I’ve been using and it’s almost empty 🥹 and…. I LOVE IT!!!!!!
I hate it when I get something expensive that I actually like. Doesn’t happen often but so annoying. Anyway, it’s regularly $175 but today it’s $87 on sale on Amazon and of course, I pulled the trigger 🤦🏻♀️
So if you got it, and love it, and feel the need to buy it, today would be the day.

I’m excited to try the ReVive neck masks. My neck is a mess and I’d never pay that much for these so I’m super grateful to have gotten them.

So I was lucky enough to score 2 different face masks from Centellian 24. According to Amazon, the yellow Vitamin Glowing pack was delivered to me already except it wasn’t. Instead I received the purple TECA pack. Then, when I look at my order page, it says the purple one will be shipping next week. So, either they sent me the purple instead of the yellow and I will be getting another purple one or maybe no second one at all.
Now the yellow version is “waiting for review”.
Would you contact Vine CS or would you review the one you received and in the review mention it was the wrong one?
I’m so excited to finally get offered some perfume! It’s know it’s not a fancy one but I don’t really care as long as the ingredients are good and it smells nice. Has anyone tried perfumes from this brand?
It’s been slower than usual this month. With Prime Day coming up I think it will slow down more but I’ve still managed to get some great scores. I’ve had some really amazing “ghost” items I was super bummed about but I can’t complain. The One Skin lip mask is AMAZING. I absolutely love it.

So I got this Korean cream. I was pretty happy because I love to test and review all the K Beauty. I usually do a deep dive into manufacturing and ingredients. Well… this one arrived and of course, high on the ingredient list is macadamia nut oil. I usually look on line and check to see ingredients. This one, on Amazon, does not include the full ingredient list nor does it mention macadamia nut oil in the listing. Well, I’m allergic to macadamia nuts so I won’t be able to test this.
Would you review it based on list of ingredients and talk about the importance of transparency in ingredients or would you not bother and just have it removed from your list?
I do think it has a decent ingredient profile and probably a good budget cream.
It’s been slow lately with the beauty products but I’m very excited to have scored all these gems.
I’ve had a slow last couple of weeks and a total drought for 3 days so this was a great night of product. If there’s anything I’ve learned about vine, patience.
I’ve seen a lot of posts asking about how to get what people consider “high end” beauty and what I would say, patience and restraint. Personally, I believe you can train your algorithm.
I did get offered one more Dr Gross set but didn’t grab it because it would have been too harsh for my skin right now and I would not have been able to properly test it.
But, as someone who has spent the last few years purchasing, testing, and creating educational content on skincare, expensive doesn’t always mean better. Sometimes you’re just paying for fancy packaging and marketing and in turn setting expectations beyond product capability to ultimately be disappointed.
Dr Dennis Gross makes some wonderful products. ReVive, some very nice products with high quality ingredients and beautiful packaging but not always on the cutting edge of science with results any better than much more budget friendly options. I’ve been very fortunate to get a lot of products with hefty price tags. Some I would definitely buy again and some that were great but I’d never buy again.
