just finished my first piece without any help!

i struggled with cutting/grinding my shapes perfectly, which resulted in some larger gaps in between and definitely struggled with my soldering! she’s a bit messy so would love any advice/tips and tricks for my next piece!

finally finished kingdom of ash last night

might be a bit dramatic but when does this throne of glass sized hole in my chest go away????? i don’t know what to do with myself now lol i feel like im grieving. i committed so much time to these books and became so invested in every single character involved and now i find myself randomly crying throughout the day especially when i think of the word fireheart or of manon and the 13 and i think i’m losing my mind!!!!! i don’t even know how i’m going to get myself to read another book lol

So I have been going back and forth on if I should get another cat or not. I currently have a 9 year-old corgi named Pierre and a 1.5 year-old tortie girl named Smudge that I foster failed last year!

Pierre and Smudge get along, and they *sometimes* play with each other (meaning Pierre mostly chases her around the house, sometimes because she antagonizes him to do so, sometimes because he’s a jerk lol), but most of the time, Pierre isn’t interested in her. I’ve started to feel like Smudge would benefit from having a cat in the house who could potentially be a source of play and entertainment for her when Pierre and I can’t be.

Her personality is the only thing that makes me a bit nervous about getting another cat. She is VERY independent. She gets overstimulated with touches pretty easily so she doesn’t cuddle much unless she decides it’s cuddle time. She is a sweetheart, but she is not what I would call an affectionate cat. Which is okay, but I wasn’t sure if bringing another cat in would make that worse and make her retreat into herself even more, or if it would maybe bring her out of her shell? Or if she would even enjoy another cat in the house at all. I guess I’m just not sure how that independence translates to having other animals around. Again she’s fine with Pierre, but has known Pierre her entire life. And she has met about 5 different dogs and was fine with all of them as long as they left her alone, but then hissed and hid from my friends adult male cat when she stayed over when I was away on vacation once. So I just don’t know.

With all of that being said, I was thinking of fostering to adopt a male kitten and seeing how they interact. And if they don’t get along the way I hoped, at least a kitten gets a foster home until they find their forever family! But I don’t think her personality is the type where I could just outright adopt and slowly introduce them and hope things worked out.

I’ve never dealt with a cat with this type of personality so would love to hear any experiences from those who had similar cats and then brought home others!
