I wish we still had our languages from West Africa.

I'm insanely jealous of other ethnic groups that get to indulge in their cultural roots openly while we are shamed and have to deny any connection to Nigeria, Mali, Ghana and the other countries we were kidnapped from. Imagine if we not only had AAVE, but spoke Two, Yoruba, etc and had that as a sort of glue for our community.

I remember seeing this and wondering what was the point. When ever they released an alert they never gave out relevant information that would allow someone to get themselves to safety or prepare in any meaningful ways, that is if these were legitimate threats and not just fear mongering. Cloudy with a chance of terrorism ass system
