My 2023 MacBook Pro (w/ M3 Pro chip) has developed a power port issue which keeps it from charging beyond 53%. Repair estimate is $830-$1300. Ouch. I'm looking at a new 13" MacBook Air (M5) to replace it. (One attraction is losing over 1/2 pound of weight!)

After 2 1/2 years, I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel re: my brother's estate. The estate lawyer informs my I'm entitled to a fee of $*mumble* as Personal Representative (formerly known as an Executor). (And yes, I've earned it. Don't get me started!). My wife and enjoy a comfortable retirement from SS, Pension, and RMDs from our traditional IRAs.
Adding $*mumble* to what I expect in ordinary income from the above will put me a bit over the IRMAA limits for Medicare.
Can the Personal Representative fee be considered earned income? And if so, can we get away with putting the max traditional IRA contributions into our respective IRAs and reduce our AGI below the IRMAA limit?
After dealing with multiple intermittent issues over that last few months I finally decided to do a full 'delete data and reset." I saved off the various .fit setting files per the advice on the Garmin support page, then performed the reset. After reset I first re-mounted the Garmin and copied the saved files to the Garmin 'NewFiles' folder per Garmin support. That didn't work. I then copied the saved files directly to the folders they came from, which did work. Except:
o Garmin support didn't mention the WIFI folder; I had to re-connect to Wifi but that's fixed.
o The Garmin refuses to pair with my phone. I've tried various combinations and order of operations. The phone (Pixel 9 Pro XL) will manually pair with the Garmin and shows in the phone's Bluetooth connections. I've tried the pairing steps with and without the manual pairing.
The 1030 shows in the phone app as a known device via Garmin connect. Anyway I try to pair the Garmin via the app I just get spinning wheels.
