I took a page from Ghost's book and tweaked the lyrics to more closely resemble someone who would gladly sell you a bible with his name on it, but who probably has never read a page from it in his entire life (probably because he can't read). I also changed "buy a piece of paradise" to "buy a share of my meme coin"!
She was doing fine for months but I noticed she dropped 2 leaves when my AC kicked on a couple of weeks ago, I moved her out of the path of the draft but she dropped 5 more this week (on one stem its mostly on one side, the other stem was all around). I don't think its pests per se, but I did see tiny white bugs that moreso resemble the fungus eating mites in the soil than any that damage the plant itself (judging by the leaves). I DID forget to use a fertilizer with my watering schedule for the past couple of months. Does this look like a malnutrition issue? She is also stationed near an east facing window in NY for context.
If I had a nickel for every Killer x Survivor couple at this competition I would have at least 3 nickels (probably more)!
It was a pleasure for my partner u/Zaxiade (Ghostface) and I (Mikaela) to share the stage with the LEGENDARY u/RottenArtist (Oni) and HauntedCosplay (Dwight) at the DBD 10th anniversary cosplay contest! We met them at New York Comic Con and were rooting for them to win best in show! The work they put into all of their cosplays is inspirational and I highly recommend you check them out!
I'm finally winding down (with some internet finally lol) after the most spectacular time at the Dead by Daylight 10th anniversary party! My brain is still buzzing from the sheer amount of amazing people I met, the announcements, the activities, panels, and the cosplay contest! I am so grateful that I was able to place in the "everything but the kitchen sink" category, it truly encapsulates the chaos from this build from having to draft and sew a dress pattern entirely from scratch for the first time AND manually emboss the yards of velvet to match the in game damask pattern, to incorporating my armor build experience with the bones and twisted masquerade mask, medkit, and totem! (And yes hot glue and tape was a must for most of it lol)
I have been cosplaying as Mikaela Reid for years but this was the first time that I felt accomplished in doing so! Thank you so much to everyone who made this day special and here's to another 10 years! I will likely make another post with a photo dump of all the other cosplayers I bumped into when I have time to go through everything!
