For orientation day , my parents and sibling are coming with me. Any recommendations? Cant use Manipal hostel as they say its only for 2 people...

!!!Edit: As many students have experienced similar technical issues or major delays, please consider emailing Manipal about it as well. Since multiple students were affected, it would help if the situation is reviewed properly.

I wrote the 23rd morning shift at Aluva Digital ION center (Kerala). I reached the exam center around 30 mins before gate opening (9 am) , while the exam was supposed to start at 10 AM. We got seated and were told to enter our DOB as the login password, which didn’t work because Manipal had apparently changed it to the Manipal account login password / OTBS password. No one at my center seemed to know this, and I only found out because the girl next to me figured it out and informed the invigilator.

Fortunately, I knew my password unlike a lot of BTech students at my center. But even after entering my Manipal password, I still couldn’t attempt the exam. It would go to the instructions screen, and when I clicked “Start”, it sent me straight back to the login screen and showed an error. At this point the invigilators and even the TCS staff were panicking. They made me log in around 5 or 6 times in total, but the same error kept showing up every time I tried to start the exam. This happened to all the BTech students, while BSc students were giving their exams.

This continued for more than an hour, and I was already mentally exhausted after just sitting there for nearly 2 hours. Around 11 AM, they called all the BTech students downstairs and asked us to stand in a queue. Apparently this was to create a new slot or something (Don’t know exactly what they did), but they collected all our details again including phone number, email, and hall ticket information and entered it into a system. Even though I was somewhere in the middle of the queue, this process itself took around 40 mins and we were standing in a congested area with no fan.

After all this, I was finally given a new seat and only got to start the test at around 11:45. Also the heat was unbearable due while standing and even in the new seat which I was given. By the time I actually started writing the exam, I was already mentally drained and exhausted from everything that had happened beforehand. I genuinely feel like I couldn’t perform to the best of my ability because of the situation at the center.

Should I upload the combined marks from 11th and 12th ( Each subject is out of 200) or just the 12th marks? For state exams like KEAM they consider both the years. Also marks of both the terms are displayed on the 12th certificate..
