hoping I’m popular ☺️

I see a lot of people doing this trend and I think I’m at least a 6?? Wanted to ask. (second image is just a google query to entertain anyone a little tired of these trends 💝)

(If anyone wanted to know, blonde people just go right to white strands as they don’t have as much melanin in their hair to grey.)

Any of you ever have dreams about your source, source mates, or kin/s?

Title’s self explanatory.

Personally, I had a dream where my 3 adaptations were in a game (all looked quite different) and I played as movie-me (he had blonde fading into dark grey hair, which is how I could tell, despite him not actually being blonde in the movie). It was basically one of those character recruitment/character rescue games where you go find the characters and I was on the level rescuing the book adaptation of me (true me) which is cool. I could tell it was me because he looked more serious and was twice my height. All of the characters were in chibi style except for the book adaptation-me, which was a bit of a funny contrast while playing the level in my dream…

wished people called me by my kin name 😢

I don’t know what flair to add because this isn’t exactly a vent due to its lighthearted nature, as it isn’t deeply emotional, but I really wish more people called me my name (usually on fictionkin forums though because I’m not very out about my fictionkin identity in other places, but I’d still get excited if someone jokingly called me it IRL)!!

I don’t think I count as an IRL due to the fact I don’t physically think I’m him (mentally I do though), but I get super excited imagining people calling me my kin name despite being disappointed no one does, which is why I call everyone else by their kin name in the hopes they’ll call me it back, even if they don’t know how much it would mean to me.

hoping this gets a semblance of popularity so people call me by that!!

Anything you do that gives you kin euphoria but you are sure your kin never did?

Title’s worded weirdly, but it gets the point across.

For example, I feel strangely happy when I walk on just the balls of my feet with my heels either hovering a couple inches off of the ground or just on complete tip-toe, and it is actually quite easy to do for me. Despite knowing there’s likely a low chance my kin ever did that, it makes me feel more connected somehow. Perhaps it’s something to do with height?

alternate theory, I used to wear massive heels under my pants and that’s why I’m like twice the height of a 14 year old in the first book cover, so that’s why I like standing on tip toe (/s) (ignore the alternate theory I’m rambling)

I dislike seeing typing quirks hated on just because some people use screen readers.

A long title, but I wanted to express this. I believe things should be accessible, yes, but I really dislike when someone’s bullied over a typing quirk and one of the main reasons is “think of people who use screen readers!!!” I’m not hiding their important medical information behind my typing quirk. I feel a bit insensitive for this opinion, but I really don’t believe people shouldn’t have a typing quirk to express themselves over text just because some people can’t read it. I draw the line if it’s a serious conversation and someone’s using a typing quirk, but just having fun online and using it to be expressive should not immediately get you hounded and mocked because “think of the blind/dyslexic people!!!” or “This is so cringe!!!”

I used to have a typing quirk (used þ and ð just because I liked using them) and any time I’d use them people would insult me for “attention seeking” or not using every single symbol associated with those, and ignore what I was saying entirely. I eventually dropped them because it would just get me derision.

What do you all think?

Someone found my cosplay so cool they disguised as me!!

It’s a ragdoll game where you can copy other people’s outfits, basically. I thought this was pretty funny…

What do you all think of my new necklace?

It looks drab when I’m inside so I figured I’d bring it outside for the picture…might be a bit blinding.

Does this look a bit opulent like I thought? I personally think it’s pretty, but definitely not as showy as my other jewellery.

(Ran out of white beads so I had to use lapis beads) (you will not believe the hour it took to find every single one of those white beads in my possession considering I store all my beads in one massive jar.)

(I will absolutely tell anyone who wants to hear about it everything!!) (you can also ask about my jewellery I love being ostentatious)

(u/InfamousIndividual32 what do you think of this since you’re letting me tag you and you mentioned you kind of liked stuff like this)

Any smoke/blood scents?

Hey! I was coming here to ask about if there are any perfumes you all know of(or make!) that smell like blood or smoke?

I really dislike viewing entries for fragrances like that because it’s either

  1. Will cost your left lung and 3 1/2 of your teeth

  2. “We have put 1 tiny, tiny drop of that scent into this perfume and then added 82 more scents so it smells good! 😊”

Definitely looking for perfumes with a main scent of blood and/or smoke without many (if at all) other notes! Hoping someone can answer this inquiry.

Perfumes that smell like any of these things?

I’m hoping to find some sort of inexpensive blood or smoke smelling perfume? DEFINITELY one that does not just have those as notes but just smells overwhelmingly of smoke or blood, despite how unpleasant those scents are. Yes I do want recommendations that aren’t olfactorily pleasant, I wish to get as close to either of those scents as possible.

The cheaper the better as well! Can’t afford too expensive of a perfume.

(I know full well there probably is not any perfumes out there that smell like straight up blood or fire that cost less than a lung but I’m hoping there’s at least one.)

Kin dysphoria?

This might be an uncomfortable question for some, but what’s the worst kin dysphoria you may have experienced?

Thankfully, I (sort of) resemble my kin, so I don’t have much kin dysphoria besides the occasional shock when I see myself in the mirror, mainly about how small my nose is now or the fact my hair isn’t grey.

Edit: I meant the question more akin to “what’s the worst experience you’ve had with kin dysphoria” (such as after a shift or whatever), but it’s fine to also say what you’re dysphoric about.

How in the world do I dress as this guy 💔

I kin Count Olaf (if any of you know the guy he’s so cool) (if you don’t, take my word for it)

Anyone have any ideas?? (Accessory recommendations definitely preferred!!)

(second image is still him) (was a really good disguise artist)

(ignore those orphans I forgot to crop the image)

Edit: also would like advice on ideas of trinkets/baubles I can get related to him if you want!
