The older I get, I’m having far fewer cognitive dreams

When I (35, male) was 10, I dreamt my great-grandfather died, only to wake up hours later to the sound of my mother sobbing after learning he had passed in the night. While elderly, he wasn’t necessarily that ill nor was he expected to pass when he did.

As I grew up, I became more and more aware of this gift, peaking around highschool, when i would regularly get visions in my dreams of everything from pop quizes the following day to a particularly specific dream about my cousin and his wife having a still born. I could always tell I was having a precognitive dream opposed to a regular one, and they always came true.

Now, they are so much less common. In fact, the last one I recall having was a heads up that a co worker of mine was going to be let go in 2024, which he was the following day.

Am I doing something to block my access, or is it typical for such a gift to grow weaker over time?
