AnxieTea is out on Havoc. It's a network monitor and firewall for your iPhone.

What it does

  • Ask mode: when an app tries to reach a new server, a banner asks you first. Tap Allow or Block once and it remembers.
  • See every connection live: the app, the server, the country and how much data.
  • World Map of where your data goes.
  • One simple list of rules for apps, servers and whole domains.
  • Ad and tracker blocking with built-in lists, plus your own.
  • See what was blocked and why, and allow it again in one tap.
  • Protection: DNS and WebRTC leak protection, HTTPS only, VPN kill switch.
  • Network Filter switch to pause all blocking for a while.

Why it's different

  • Blocking happens in the iOS kernel, the same way iOS turns off cellular data for an app. Apps can't get around it, and it covers system services too, not just the apps you open.
  • Nothing is injected into your apps to watch their traffic.
  • Your data stays on your phone. Nothing about your traffic is uploaded, address lookups happen offline, and the contents of your requests are never saved.
  • It doesn't loosen your iPhone's security. No sandbox holes, and its database is readable only by the system.
  • See it happen in real time: a speed meter by your status bar shows your traffic live and flashes the moment something is blocked.
  • Easy on the battery: it slows down when your screen is off.
