Hello guys, I’d like to make an iPhone XS Max on iOS 13 usable in today’s world if that’s possible, I could update it to 18 but I’d like to keep the old look, if I jailbreak it, what apps would I be able to get working again? YouTube? WhatsApp? Browser? Would a jailbreak help this I just want a normal basic smart phone again.

Hey everyone,
I'm looking to learn more about iOS app modification and reverse engineering. Specifically, I want to understand how to decompile an already modified/modded IPA file, inspect or re-edit the tweaks/dylibs inside, and properly repackage and re-sign it.
Could anyone recommend good tutorials, documentation, or workflows for this process? Also, what are the best tools currently used for decompiling and modifying IPAs?
Any guidance or links to beginner-friendly resources would be greatly appreciated!
Today i came across some posts of people saying that they where banned from their Apple IDs out of nowhere, i saw that they had a similarity, they used a iPhone with some sort of modification on its Software like:
- AltStore/Sidestore
- Jailbreak
- Custom APPs sideloaded into their iPhones and then banned because of the App IDs
So what is happening? I have legacy devices like a 5s, 4s and 3gs with jailbreaks, all of them with updates disabled. Am i affected?
I got a iPhone 13 Pro Max with 16.3 and was looking for compatible tweaks where I can download videos or MP3’s of the video straight to the app or upload them into my music folder. I used to use I think it was YouTube plus or something like that but it doesn’t work on this device idk why. But I have YouTube X but there’s no option to download the videos like I did before. Soo, i have saw longer ago that apple is still signing the ios 15.0 OTA by mistake. I know the differences between ipsw and OTA but my question here is: can somebody with enough experience help me reverse engineer the ios 15.0 OTA? I will get my hands on one 13 with ios earlier than 17.4 so i can jailbreak it beacuse this procces requires jailbreak. Does somebody knows how to operate Ghidra; IDA Pro; Binary Ninja; radare2 / rizin; ipsw (blacktop); Hopper for identifying some kind pf exploits so we can use it?
Many people would suggest me to get a iOS 17 device but I personally don’t like iOS 17 cuz no trollstore aside from iOS 17.0 which is hard to find and iOS 17 was kinda buggy for me on my experience and glazed. Most apps I use work on ios 16, in fact I can use most of the apps on iOS 13/14. So app compatibility wouldn’t be a problem but the reason I am asking goes to 2 things. 1: is it still worth it? Such as tweak compatibility. 2: when I get iOS 16 it’s gonna be a 14 pro 256 gb cuz I am getting it sealed sooo

Basically i had only tested this on my main device before, and a few people have reported it not working on their devices.
i promised an update, but testing took me more time then expected.

feel free to test it out on your device, worst thing that can happen is that the mode does not get toggled on (hopefully).

My view is that while the enhancements offered by TrollStore ReMod are certainly appealing, it is not FOSS (Free and Open Source Software). This means that, barring reverse engineering, you can never know for certain what operations it is performing in the background. Given that both the applications installed via TrollStore and the tool itself can obtain root privileges, this factor alone makes it impossible to place full trust in it; even if it is actually safe, relying on it requires placing blind trust in the developer—a trust that offers no guarantee of absolute security. After all, you certainly wouldn't want to grant root privileges to a closed-source tool, would you?
I am not saying that closed-source software is bad—FOSS carries its own risks, too—but in most cases, closed-source software is indeed not as trustworthy as FOSS (due to issues regarding code transparency).
Close all apps at once, hide apps in a locked vault, pin the ones you keep.
