Impossible bottle
I was once the sea,
Now poured into an impossible bottle.
I’ve hidden away my algae,
My dwellers and depths, now so subtle,
For the ship to not topple.
I can still remember
The caress of the Moon so gentle,
My gaze fading in the timeless grandeur
Of Father Cosmos the Immortal,
And adoring all that’s sacramental.
The sea is wilting in a bottle
Becoming perfectly stale, lethargic,
Cannot sing, but only mutter —
You, who wished for but a gimmick,
Cannot settle for a maverick!
