Any other 2026 starters in EEE/ECS?

Starting the Foundation Year in EEE this September. Trying to find other people in the same boat to chat with regarding the course or moving into halls. Is there an active group for the 2026 intake? Drop a comment or DM me if so. Thanks.

I am struggling between picking offer from a Top tier uni or a mid tier uni

My course is Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Although I am/was a top tier student in my home country my qualifications aren't recognized in the UK. (I am a refugee).

Therefore, Southampton offers me a Foundation Year. [Elite Uni for EEE]

The 2nd option is Aston University, Birmingham with direct entry. [Mid tier uni with solid employability].

Would the extra year of fees/loans and time be worth it? Should I go with the Elite uni if the job market is really bad rn. What else should I consider.

Thank you for your time.

Which uni to pick from among these for EE engineering.

I have gotten offers in the following universities;

University of Hertfordshire

London South Bank University

And will probably be granted offers in these unis as well,

University of Greenwich (as I meet entry requirements by a huge margin)

University of Leeds (for foundation year as russell group unis don't recognise my qualifications)

University of Manchester (same as above).

For Electrical and Electronic Engineering, any advice regarding among these universities what I should go for.

Thank you...
