So the date is locked. See you all on 12th of July! (Registration Link in the Post)
As per the vote of you guys on the last post, the date of our meetup is locked. We'll be coming together on the 12th of July, Sunday, 6 PM for an evening full of fun and chit-chat. Since this is the first time we're meeting up, the idea is to keep things light and get to know each other while still having a good time together.
Also, the registrations for the meetup are open, and anyone who wants to come can register by filling out this form: https://forms.gle/shZV8AuqkKXF7U1GA
The form requests a bit of your personal information like Mobile number and Address, but that is only for safety reasons and rest assured your information won't be shared with anyone.
The event venue is still not decided, and your inputs on that are welcome. Any good cafe, restaurant, or park, etc. that you feel can provide a good atmosphere for the event, please share its name in the comments, and we'll consider it.
Also, this may seem a bit unfair (and even shady), but I've kept a nominal fee of 100 INR for registration because:
- I want to weed out the unserious folks who are all talk but don't show up when it's time
- It costs some money to host and organize any kind of event.
For the sake of simplicity, I'll be collecting this payment myself on my personal UPI ID, but rest assured, I'll maintain full transparency for the money collected for this purpose. Every day, I'll make a post disclosing how much we have collected for the event and naming the people who have contributed. If anyone's name is skipped, you can mention that in the comment itself on that post. Once the event is complete, I'll also share the itemized invoice of expenses with all attendees.
And if there are not enough people willing to attend, rest assured I'll return everyone's contribution to their UPI IDs.
