Campus gym

Who has used the campus gym? Planning on using it next spring and I want to know what it’s like, if the showers are clean, judgement level for us bigger people trying to lose weight, etc.

Honors program

I know it says 2-3 weeks, but I’ve also seen a lot of places say 2 weeks. It’s been about 3 weeks since I’ve applied and I haven’t heard anything back from the honors program. How long does it take for them to process the application? From what I’ve heard, gpa is most important and I have a 3.5 so I figured it wouldn’t take long. What’s the longest y’all have had to wait?

Update and advice

So I’ve been going to the gym for about 6 months now. My starting weight was 190 avg (187-190) my current average is 188 (187-192). I’m very flabbergasted that the scale hasn’t moved like at all. So I am planning to drop calories to see how that goes.

On the other hand, I HAVE noticed that I lost inches off my waist. I’m not sure what I was 6 months ago, but 5 months ago I was 41in, and I am 37in around my waist, my around my belly I went from 44 to 41.5 so there is some recomposition. I’m well and fine with that and proud of that minute progress. I’m wondering though.. I understand muscle weighs more than fat but like… I do feel like I should see the scale moving at some point? I would say I’m maintaining but I’m clearly losing something since my waist is measuring smaller (although visually I see no difference, other than my glutes are more round, but they are measuring the same size just in a different shape. My auntie says I should be happy I’m keeping my glutes while losing my waist so I guess that’s a plus?).

Should I decrease my deficit more than a little bit? I’m currently avg 1700kcals. I’m on top of my protein. I should also say I’m 5ft even, I workout 4x a week (I have also been steadily increasing weights) and I’m a very active stay at home mom (I put in 6-10k steps daily easily just cleaning and chasing my toddler around). That, according to calculator.net, should give me somewhere between .5lbs to 1lb a week. Either I’m seriously miscalculating my calories and I’m actually consuming closer to maintenance (enough to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time but very very so very slowly) or maybe I’m not just trusting the process.

What are your thoughts? Should I trust the process or go for a larger cut?

Oh and I did take 3 weeks off from the gym somewhere in that time frame as well, so I should say maybe it’s been 5 months at a the gym and 5 months dieting (since the first month I didn’t actually decrease calories. I was just getting into the motion of going to the gym).
