Google, please stop being "helpful"
I have limited data on my phone. I have my phone set to only DL on wifi. I have like 5gb of music downloaded. I'll put in a 500 song playlist on repeat and shuffle.
What should happen is it plays that playlist forever. If I go in and change the playlist fine.
Instead google waits until I'm driving and then
- switches to a "radio" based off the current mix, and immediately stops playing because the "suggested" song hasn't been downloaded.
- Or, after I've been in range of wifi decides the next song should be whatever was next in my queue while I was listening on my computer - again that song probably isn't downloaded so it just stops
- or decides it'll play an alternate version of the song in my playlist (or the video version) which of course isn't fucking downloaded and so it stops playing.
Today after I switched back to my playlist it gave me a popup that it had "learned from my actions and would update my recommendations" with a link to "settings" to learn more which does NOT explain wtf it meant or give any way to turn ANY of these behaviors off.
I just want to listen to my tunes while driving. I should not need to fuck around with the interface while I'm driving. This is so simple that it's amazing they can fuck it up so bad.
