Kefir not sour
I just started fermenting kefir and I am doing 30 grams of grains to 300 grams of milk. I got fresh grains from a seller online. I fermented in my kitchen (20 degrees) for 24 hours. The kefir has turned thick but the taste is not really sour at all. The main reason I am doing this is for the probiotic benefits. Since the kefir is not that sour does that mean fewer probiotics? Should I try fermenting for longer? Any tips for a beginner appreciated. Thanks

Carpenter Ants Ignoring Bait
I have been having some carpenter ants (1 or 2 a night) for the past week in my bedroom. So I decided to get some bait to kill them. I woke up today to dozens of ants in the bait and all over the room. I let the ants in the bait eat it and go back to their nest and killed the other wanderers around the room. But now I get a couple of ants entering the room every 30 mins or so and they are completely ignoring the bait. Is this normal or have I made the problem worse?
I have also ordered a protein based bait to see if they will go for that one instead (as I believe the first bait was carbohydrate based).
I have already informed my landlord last week when first seeing the ants and they will be bringing pest control to deal with the issue.
