we should be able to somewhat see what the boss stuff is

At least to know if it's lost no matter what. If bro has a +6 weapon and +3 chain armor floor 5. I ain't beating that with just regular stuff. I understand some player like to try hard but as the regular joe I think it would be nice.

Just something to have a rough estimate of what I'm gonna fight. And yeah I know probably all try hard use a decoy or some type of front runner like pro cyclist do. But please keep this mod somewhat casual friendly.

If you really want to cater to try hard, then add the seed entry. So we can use 1 in 1 billions seed with ring of wealth, every artifacts and ring of might +2 and +3 plate armor. Floor 2 for good measure.

potion of aqua rejuvenation ... floor 5 ???

How is this possible ? You need goo ball to make one ?

I think their should be some level/potion cap for each boss. It would be a little bit silly otherwise with a ring of wealth/ wand of regrowth. You could farm forever and be almost unbeatable.

Also it's annoying the boss doesn't seem to be affected by blindness or invisibility. You can't surprise attack him and he know where you are at all time.

The revamped Guelphs VS Ghibellines is waaaaay too hard

https://preview.redd.it/vj1r245bitch1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=ed63f3dd6da699c6276ce9bd708eb52d43d74ae6

This is ridiculous. I played as Venice. I have a better eco than Bohemia. Bullied everybody into the Guelphs faction for 100 years. What do I get ? NOTHING. A bland stalemate. Yes I'm only missing a few points. But that's not the issue. The issue is this situation is extremely frustrating.

It's very hard to convince other country into your faction. Better way is war. But you can only force the war target. And get a truces with all other participants. Which are... ALL OF THE OPPOSING FACTION.

Yes because they looked at the religion war and thought it would be very funny to apply the same logic here. If a member of a faction attack a member of an opposing faction. EVERYONE is called. This is manageable when the HRE emperor is some moron from a weak country. Not when it's Bohemia and they call half of HRE + their huge army into the fight.

Why is there not a diplomatic option ? "Invite to Guelphs" action never work. They never accept. Even your vassals can tell you to go smell a badger. Like here you can see the pope's vassal following the Ghibellines.

The update has a lot of very good changes. Especially for Italy. I'm having a lot of fun. But this is just annoying. I hope they fix it and increase the progression speed. Before it was too fast. You didn't have the time to do anything Bohemia had already won thanks to their big eco. But here it's the complete opposite. It shouldn't be possible to end in a stalemate when I've been dominating the situation the whole time.

I think knights of the toxic god would be the perfect origin for nomad gameplay

I think knights being on an arkship makes a lot more sense than on an orbital station. Also the fact they have a normal planet was always a little bit odd. Now they can just get their resources from harvesting and completely focus on their quest for the toxic god ! Wander the galaxy in search of answers. Maybe have a special nomad objective similar to the pilgrim origin.

I think gameplay wise it would make for a challenging but interesting origin. Imagine a civilization so absurdly militarized they have no worker and rely entirely on their harvesting technology.

how are the arkship income calculated ???

I'm trying the new Khan origin.

My treasury has a massive deficit of 350 minerals the first 10 years.

But my arkship only uses 100 minerals. Where are the others expenses coming from ?

This economy panel is a bit confusing. It won't tell me how I'm earning/losing minerals and energy.

Also "burn" or "balance" is very obscure. Am I doubling my expenses ? Is it a flat cost or based on my income ??? I'm a bit surprised it's so unclear.

I liked the DLC. I'm relatively fine with the game as it is rn. I know a lot of people are mad at Paradox for being kinda bad at balancing and adding more fuel to the fire. Also nerfing good strat etc... And I hope the game does improve.

If you need any help feel free to ask me :3

Pop for major nation in 1823 (1.2)

I did my roman larp and finished very late. Some nation are obviously not included because I took all their land.

Sorry the flag is always hidden. You have to look at the bottom of the menu.

Their border didn't change that much.

Would you like to see the pop of another country ?

I think the new pop change is a step in the right direction but need balancing

In 1.2 pop die a lot more from sickness and war. So much that in my Byz/Rome game in 1700 England had 4 millions pop. Oh sorry I was talking about the entire British Island. Yes they have same amount of pop in 1700 than in 1300. Same for a lot of countries actually. The only way to grow pop is to take land.

I like the idea of pop dying a lot. From sickness or war. Also they are a lot more child and courtier death from disease. It is the middle age after all. The problem is the middle age is not Japan or Korea in 2026. People make a lot of babies. Not just 1% yearly pop growth.

I think war and disease should cause even more death. But that pop growth should be a lot higher. You could larp as a prosperous state. Stay at peace and invest in healthcare and have a lot more pop than your neighbors after 50 years. Or roleplay big wars with 20% of people in a kingdom dying. You can't do that at all if pop growth is so low.

A growth scaling already exist to mitigate growth like in Stellaris. But it barely affect pop growth. Maybe in China or India ? In Europe I've never seen it change

Also some tech like vaccine should increase pop growth and people life expectancy. IRL it's one of the reason for the pop boom in Europe and in game it translates with "wow my ruler can live 5 more years. Yey"

I hope they fix this fast. The game is a bit hard to play rn because of this. Even if you don't go to war at all, diseases will wipe out any pop you grew every 20 years or so.

The game is extremely hard now

Holy cow the AI does not mess around in war anymore.

On a tactical and somewhat strategical aspect they are still awful.

But on a long term aspect they have become absolute war machine.

They have every decision to increase levy and regular army size. Recruit a lot of regulars and mercenaries. Keep cash around and take loans just for wars.

In my Byzantium game I had a army of 10k regulars and was steam rolling Italy. I was always below 45 antagonism thanks to Byz special war goal.

Milano did the parliament war goal tricks on me. They got an instant war goal on me and instantly declared war on me. I did not see that coming at all since AI usually never declared war on someone below 45 antagonism.

They have Naples and the pope as allies. The pope has like 50k levies with 700k pops and 25k regulars. Naples and Milano have even more troops.

I just lost the war so badly I had to give up a lot of land. It's crazy this never happened before. Usually when you start to have enough regulars you can steam roll any AI even a much bigger than you. Because they don't invest enough in military. Now it's the opposite.

Also the stack wipe and infinite mercenary did not get patched today. I hope they patch it cause I don't want to check every month if the AI suddenly spawn 200k mercenary out of nowhere
