I am looking for a commuter for work as I just got a new job and have to commute to different jobs (construction) and I'm interested in buying this 2017 2.0t volkswagen cc with 167,000 miles. Only reason I'm even considering this car is because its going for $2300 usd. Nothing wrong with it the owner just doesn't need it.
I just got made an apprentice at local 150. How do I go about obtaining a crane oiler/rigger job so I can eventually become a crane operator? Since becoming an apprentice, I've just been called out for one or two day jobs with different contractors for weeks now. This is unsustainable and I need to be working full time, just as a crane oiler. It also sucks that I can't turn down a job so what can I do.
Where are u guys meeting new ppl? I haven't had a social life since covid started and it doesn't help that my HS friends are always working and just doing their own stuff so I never go out.

I got accepted into local 150s 2nd week apprenticeship evaluation. Im going to have to quit my job because we start evaluations this coming week and I can't keep calling off work, I'd rather quit before getting fired. I know nothings guaranteed. Has anyone else been in this boat?
How did u guys call off work for the 1st and 2nd week of apprenticeship evaluation? I had to call off work with only a couple days in advance and they were not happy (it's an asphalt company, I'm a truck driver, and I just started working for them). Idk how I'm gonna call off if I get called in for the 5 day evaluation of the apprenticeship. I just don't want to quit before knowing for sure that I will be accepted into the union. Also, today I flipped over the excavator during the simulation and it flagged me for a major violation. How screwd am I? Thanks
