Cere Locked Snake Charmer

Imagine this:

Your demon gives you false bluffs, doesn’t tell you what demon they are, and refuses to clarify anything.

So the evil team gathers to take control of the situation.

First: The dreamer is turned into a good Vortox to poison the well.

Second: The snake charmer(who is in an evil twin pair) switches with the demon. The evil twin is turned into a Cerenovus that same night and Cere locks the old(now dead) demon into another role. (The twin pair was never announced)

The new demon(we already knew this but we now have confirmation) is a Vigormortis. New demon gets changed into a Fang Gu.

Next night the dreamer turned good Vortox gets turned into a Barber.

Fang Gu jumps to the new Barber.

Meanwhile two days have ended in madness breaks because the old demon now refuses to speak.

Pit hag changes themself into an evil Mutant for a Failsafe but by then the game was drawing to a close because a witch curse triggered.

Evil team won, but obviously some things should have been handled differently(I was the Pit Hag turned Mutant).

First demon should have had something done about them for the obvious game throwing.

Possibly something should have been done about the Snake Charmer and Dreamer game throwing but this was in response to the demon acting the way they were(I’m actually not sure how the dreamer got looped into this but it worked out).

Cerenovus should have been asked to pick someone else when the old demon now snake charmer refused to speak, therefore ending multiple days in madness breaks.

There was a mistake where a philo drunk and Vortoxed Artist got true information which by that point just didn’t matter but worlds did get built off of that information.

Pit Hag(me) probably shouldn’t have been allowed to make so many demon changes.

Ultimately the good team wasn’t happy and the evil team won but even we weren’t super happy about how the game went down(mostly because of the original demon acting up).

We knew things weren’t right from the get go because the demon gave us bluffs we knew were in play(one of them was the snake charmer that was in a twin pair). Then we couldn’t find any outsiders or hint of outsiders whatsoever. So his original claim of Fang Gu was invalid(he told me No Dashi but we didn’t believe anything he said at that point because he told one of the others that he was a Vortox but I’d changed the Dreamer by this point so we knew a Vortox wasn’t in play at the beginning).

This was a game with a lot of ST blunders and an evil team that was allowed to recover quickly but alas even I on the winning evil team couldn’t feel good about it.

The ST(a friend) won’t allow that sort of thing to happen again and has said he will now just boot game throwing players so the game can be played as normal.

Silence

Watched an entire game where the Imp skated through just not talking. No chats, no talking in town, no voting, just night actions. Complete silence.

Somehow they made it to final 3 and claimed mayor.

AND SOMEHOW THEY WON.

I could NEVER get that lucky. Ever.

Vizier/Poppygrower

One of the FUNNIEST interactions.

Poppy grower is in play. Demon gets nommed and voted on day one for “science” by the DA bluffing pacifist. Vizier kills their demon. DA just so happened to protect the demon. DA was Sailor drunk. Demon dies.

Very next game. Same lobby. Same script. (It is an atheist on script).

Lobby sort of thinks an atheist is in play. Player nominates the storyteller. Good votes. Vizier executes storyteller.

VERY NEXT GAME.

Good twin gets nominated day one for TC information. Vizier forces execution.

Three day one reracks in a row.

The NEXT GAME… ST stops putting Vizier in the bag.

Guys I’m not sure why this needed to be a strategy discussion or an argument- everyone had fun. It was FUNNY. Lighten up. It’s a GAME where people should have FUN.

Clocktower Vent

A game with two travelers. Both are evil. Bureaucrat and a thief. So a five player evil team that manipulate votes. Storyteller also wouldn’t allow exiles until day 3. Then they pushed a vote through on a Saint.

Not sure what the storyteller was going for there, and yes I get that it’s allowed, but it feels like a “yes but don’t”

Mute Player

Okay, so- I have a friend that can not speak. He’s mute. I’ve been trying to get him to play and he’s played a couple game with mixed results. Some lobbies can be uh… not so understanding.

We’ve come up with a system for him that works in most cases, but it needs tweaks.

  1. Whiteboard: His camera does work so he can use a whiteboard to communicate on the fly.

  2. Hands: Using character hands as a way to communicate what he’s claiming(3s). This generally only works in early game. He also always claims a minion and a demon no matter what alignment he is. That was if he ends up being an evil he can out what he is to his team without worrying about town seeing.

So really he claims five characters in early game.

  1. He does have a text to talk app, but it can get talked over very easily.

  2. Defense and accusation goes in text chat. ST will need to allow for a pause so he can type.

This works under MOST cases but I’m curious to see what else could make this go smoother for him.

ost for Frenchie’s death

Looking for the OST that starts playing when Frenchie says “I bet you never danced a day in your life”. It is not on the official soundtrack and Shazam is turning up a blank on it.

Whalebuffet

Has anyone else had an issue with Buffets? I’m playing a game with a friend running a Basebuffet and someone came in throwing a fit that the script has been “stolen” from another player and no credit was given?

I have to say I have a really bad impression of that group now BUT is there some weird faux pas surrounding using buffets if you’re not in that group? I’m genuinely confused.
