green mysterious box

so i was taking apart my trunk and removed my subwoofers (since they werent working) and then i came across this green box in the driver rear quarter panel and unplugged it then reconnected it. when i turned on my car absolutely no sound was coming out from the speakers not even static. i did unplug a ground for the subwoofers but I reconnected it and still had nothing. any ideas ?? im new to this stuff im not sure if its oem or not.

I just got my car back from the paint shop about a week ago. The main body had already been painted and buffed about a week before I picked it up, while the bumpers were finished about four days before I got the car back. It rained during the next few days, and the car has also been sitting in the sun afterward. I want to wash it because I’m worried the rainwater and grime may have baked into the fresh paint, but I’m unsure what the safest way to handle it would be. white car btw
