What's worse? you have so many people liking the listing indicating that people do fall for this shit.

I got a 2026 thinkbook 16 g8+ during my work stay in China. I have since moved back to Singapore and my luck ran out because the battery in the Thinkbook decided to call it quits.
How do I know? I am somewhat of a tinkerer and I investigated the battery, one out of the 4 cell reported <1.8v which is critical failure a.k.a cell died. Now typically BMS locks the entire battery pack for safety reasons, it is near impossible to revive the pack.
I tried searching for a replacement but I could only find one 3rd party battery and no OEM as this laptop is too new and not available internationally yet. Was happy that the 3rd party got delivered and looked similar to the original. However, I soon realize that Lenovo does battery verification and blocks 3rd party battery as Lenovo Vantage detects no battery, charging is disabled and the charging light is blinking orange constantly.
I am seeking help on reddit, perhaps someone can somehow guide me to get a battery replacement direct from Lenovo? searching the model number on Lenovo returns no parts result, while Lenovo CN don't support device outside of China.

Got boxes from China directly (marked with red cross) and some boxes from local supplier (green tick).
Generally the print on resealed boxes are blurrier (see Jolteon on 3rd picture)
Dead giveaway is when you open up the seal, the resealed box has such a sandy dirty texture, while the real has a smooth texture.Packs colors are darker too.
For science, I ripped all of them. and some boxes did not have SAR; which should be guaranteed. Some boxes had SAR but there will never be any eeveelutions.
Took about 2-3 weeks after the official release for resealed boxes to start showing up on their "carousell". As usual, do due diligence for any Chinese products.
P.S I bought these boxes knowing that they are most likely fake. I just wanted to burn some money for research.
