Looking for Advice. Older used MG ev vs BYD Atto1

So i am in the search for a new car, and my price range is only around 20-24 thousand. Here in wa i have been looking at demo evs to try and save some $$

2023 MG ZS EV Excite Auto MY23

-2023 model

-low kms (2500 kms)

-320 km range

vs

BYD ATTO 1 Essential

-2026

-220 km range

My situation is , im single and car would moslty be just me and 1 other passenger, work from home (so can home charge without issue) and probably only do 250 kms a week . However i do want the occasional long range trips 1-2 a year (300-400kms)

obviously the range is a big difference, but what are peoples opinions on actual features/drives

Novated Lease Details for Dummies

Hi everyone i must admit, i dont fully understand how Novated Leases work so i have a few questions, as someone who wants to get a new EV , i feel like it could be a good option for me

  1. My company does not do Novated Leases, so i would need to do it through a third party. What are the better companies for such a thing, and i assume i would have to pay them interest on top of the normal novated leases benefits?

  2. I earn around 144000 before tax and i am looking for one of the budget evs ~32000 . I am unsure exactly how much that would save me in tax and what the benefit would be (does it just mean more take home pay per month, before having to pay the novated lease amount) ?

  3. Assuming you do a 5 year lease, does the novated lease cost mean you essentially own the car at the end of the lease ? if not what is the rough price difference if you wanted to buy the car. Or what happens to the car once your lease ends ?

Sorry for the dumb questions, just wanting to get as much information as possible

How to talk to an actual Operator ?

So I am finding it practically impossible to talk to a real person. No matter what line I go through, asking to speak to an operator just gives "All operators are busy, use our portal goodbye"

Incredibly frustrating and I feel really bad for people that have to use this ridiculous phone service regularly

How do you actual talk to a real person at centrelink via Phone ? Ive looked through the portal and none of it fits my actual enquiry so would just like to talk to an actual person for 5 minutes

Thanks
