This is what inevitably happens to all of my belongings

I wasn't sure if I qualified for this sub since I usually can't bring myself to cover up stickers for the full overlapping effect but I certainly have an abundance of them! I'm curious what my collection says about me—gotta know what l've been signalling to the world lol

I got derailed from my one-per-season scene redraw mission—what do we think, do I continue?

Looking for some humanoids to transform into creatures!

The last image is PeculiarPersona’s OC Blot

It’s the final stretch so I’ll probably only be able to churn out a couple but I’m in the mood to design some dragony creatures and any I don’t get to I’ll bookmark for next year! Revenges are appreciated but I understand if they’re not possible this late in the year :)

I’m especially looking for characters with features that would make an interesting dragon/cat-adjacent creature, like many colours, wings, interesting accessories, or other unusual features :3 They will most likely be less rendered than these but I’ll do what I can with the time that remains. I make no promises, but do let me know if you have any specific design ideas!

You 🫵 will be baked

OC belongs to 20TonsOfLemonZest

I want to break up all the portraits I’ve been doing so I wanna turn some characters into drinks/desserts! They’ll feature a tiny bust as well :3 If you have a character you wouldn’t mind being baked, please share!

I’ll probably gravitate OCs with interesting colour palettes, motifs, or patterns, but if you have an idea for specific elements or the type of food, those are also helpful! Bonus points if you revenge but it’s not required :)

Looking for characters for a mass attack! (see desc)

(Rough sketch to give you an idea of what I’m talking about)

My idea is basically to use characters with different forms, especially if one is scary (i.e. maybe they’re shapeshifters, their eyes glow, they have a human disguise, etc.) for the characters in the portraits, with the shadowed part revealing the creepy version. If you think you have a character that would work for this, please drop them below!

I also need a human looking character for the one in the front, so if you have one (bonus points if your ref features their back lol) feel free to share them too! Just please try not to overwhelm the comment section with human characters if it can be avoided since I only need the one!

Friends/enemies alter ego shenanigans?

One of my favourite tropes is when two people are really close, yet one or both of them have a secret or alternate identity that the other hates. I really enjoy supernatural (i.e. vampire & vampire hunter or something like that), but I also like superheroes and stuff like that. I’m fine with romance but I don’t prefer it.

First 35/52 books of the year!

S: Project Hail Mary was a reread due to the new movie (which was amazing of course) but In the Lives of Puppets was a new one to me and I was surprised by how much I loved it! It was my first book of the year too, and definitely a strong start.

A: Fifty Beasts to Break Your Heart was also a surprise high-ranker for me since I don’t usually go for short story collections, but almost all of them were really entertaining. I was thinking about the last story for weeks. All Accounts Settled was the much anticipated (by me, that is) finale to the Fred, the Vampire Accountant series so that was exciting to read this year. A satisfying conclusion for sure. I’ve yet to read a T. Kingfisher book I didn’t appreciate and A House With Good Bones was a particular standout for me. I’d probably put it as my #3 pick below The Hollow Places and The Twisted Ones.

B: Suffer the Children and Of Monsters and Mainframes both took me by surprise for similar reasons. Neither was really what I was expecting going in but I stuck them out and definitely didn’t end up regretting it. NPCs was very fun and even though I’m not in a hurry to finish the series, I definitely appreciated its charm and humorous trope subversion.

C: Hour of the Witch was very long but still largely compelling. It managed to hold my interest a lot better than many historical fictions do. Orlando was similar in that way, although I’d say the story behind that book is almost more interesting than the book itself. Grimoire Grammar School Parent Teacher Association was an interesting perspective change for the usual ‘kid acquires magic powers and has to attend magic school’ trope.

D: I really wanted to like All the Pretty Horses. I swear I did. I appreciate McCarthy’s writing style from an objective standpoint but god it just is not for me.

F: I already don’t usually like romances, I don’t know who I thought I was reading a 90s vampire romance of all things. Bloodsucking Fiends was very much fork found in kitchen and it turns out I’m very much a spoon kind of person. Or like, maybe a nice pair of chopsticks. Anyway. Squeak and Squeal I also very much only have myself to blame, but at least I had no delusions about that one. A friend and I thought it would be an entertaining adventure, and I mean, I certainly can’t claim it wasn’t, so that’s a win I guess?
