Have you ever seen the girls perform live?

Are you here because you watch the Netflix show, or are you from Dallas and have the chance to see the girls perform in person?

I’m watching the show from Europe, so I’m guessing that even if I take a trip to the US, the chances of me being there at the right time are pretty slim 😅
Btw, what are ticket prices like for an average American?

Do the girls only perform at home games?

I’m from Europe, so I’m not very familiar with the world of cheerleading. I’ve only seen bits and pieces in movies and now on Netflix.
I’m curious about how it all works behind the scenes. Putting aside performances outside the stadium, how often are the games, and how often do the girls perform on the field? Do they only perform when their team plays at home?
And how does it work in general when it comes to games? Do other teams have active cheerleading squads like this too? If a team gets eliminated early, does that mean the girls’ season is over as well? And if their season ends early, do only certain girls get to travel to pre-booked appearances and events, or how does that work? 🤔

Would anyone like to follow my steps?

I just finished the game, and throughout the entire playthrough, I followed one player I didn’t know at all. Somehow, though, by the end of the game, they had become an online friend ☺️ I had so much fun noticing how similar our choices were, and sometimes I even found myself getting annoyed with them like they were a good friend I didn’t always agree with 😂 It was such a great experience.
Would anyone like to follow my path?
My number is 9404-4405.
I’ll definitely be playing through the game a few more times, so feel free to drop your numbers too! 😀

What’s your favorite chapter?

I’ve played the game at least a few times now, trying different versions and different dialogue choices. But out of all the chapters, my favorite has always been “MORE THAN WORDS”. When I finished it for the first time, it hit me so hard that I just sat there for a while with tears in my eyes.

I don’t know if everyone remembers this chapter, but it’s the story of two young people who met on the road in Petria and fell deeply in love. Their journey together was full of spontaneous moments, including finding a beautiful tree where one of them proposed. Over time, though, they began to change and drift apart. At some point, they both realized they were no longer the same people they had been when they first met. So they returned to “their” tree, buried their rings there, said goodbye for the last time and each went their separate way.

That scene hit me much harder than I expected. Not because some great tragedy happened. Quite the opposite - its power came from how ordinary and human it was.

Their love story began under that tree and that’s where it ended. Not because they stopped caring about each other, but because their lives, personalities, and needs had gone in different directions. They returned there, stood together one last time and allowed their story together to end right there.

It shows that love doesn’t always have to end in hatred, betrayal or hurting each other. Sometimes you can still love someone and, at the same time, realize that continuing to live together is no longer going to be good for either of you.

Did you come across this chapter too? What did you think of it?
Tell me which chapter was your favorite or which one made your heart melt ❤️

The soundtrack is so emotional. One of the best ones. What’s your favorite song?

I actually have two favorites - the heartbreaking “Her Name Was Conny” and the nostalgic “The Mountain Peak” which plays when we cross the border over the mountain peak.
To me, the soundtrack of this game is an absolute masterpiece.

Rewatching as an adult, and… Why did Lewis spill his drink on Charlotte in the middle of the café?

He wasn’t sure whether Charlotte had gained powers or not. And what if she had? She would have turned into a mermaid in front of everyone. He put his own girlfriend at risk without thinking about the consequences, while protecting the other girls at all costs. To me, that was very illogical. As a child, I didn’t notice it.
He could have taken her to the beach, but no! Instead, he thought it was better to spill water on her in a public place full of people. WTF?

Which mermaid did you relate to the most?

As a child, in my group of three friends, I was Emma because I was the calmest. But after more than 15 years, I’m definitely like Rikki.

What about you? Which girl do you feel the closest to?

The guys from H2O

As a kid, my crush was Zane. But when I rewatched the show, I realized just how toxic he was. He never truly changed, even when he was with Rikki. This is especially clear in season 3 when Rikki needs his help, but his ego and jealousy over Will are more important to him. Another example is during one of the full moons, when the girls wanted to stay safe at the café, but Zane couldn’t (or wouldn’t) get rid of his friends. I haven’t finished the whole season yet, so I don’t remember exactly how their breakup happens, but just thinking about Sophie already annoys me.

For me, Ash was a bit arrogant and self-important, but at least he suited Emma. He didn’t really stir any strong emotions in me.

Byron came across as a total kid who was just looking for the first girl he could kiss to brag about to his friends. Completely unserious. Honestly, I’m glad his character disappeared.

Will – kind of nondescript. He was forced into the group because he pressured Bella into revealing the secret. When she asked if he would keep it, he actually said he had to think about it. What an idiot. I also don’t like how he kept leading Bella on. P.S. I’ve seen theories suggesting he actually had a crush on Rikki. Does anyone want to share their thoughts on that?

And finally, the most important guy – Lewis. As a kid, I saw him as a total nerd. But after rewatching? Absolute crush, potential husband material. Smart, loyal, and patient – what more could you want? When Ryan showed up, I was just waiting for Cleo to send him packing.

Who has watched Mako Mermaids? What do you think about it?

I just started watching this spin-off. This is my second attempt-my first was when the show originally premiered. But I barely remember how many episodes I watched or what exactly made me completely drop the series.

Now, after rewatching H2O and being encouraged by a few people on Reddit, I decided to give Mako Mermaids another try. This time, I got hooked-the show looks really good, it’s modern, and the girls are beautiful.

But… there are a few things I need to process. Aside from the simple detail that Zac’s tail doesn’t look as natural as the girls’, I’m trying to understand the concept of this show. In H2O, we had three mermaids who were very special-they became mermaids by accident.

Here, we have a story about real mermaids, many of them, living near Mako and protecting it from humans so no one falls into the Moon Pool.

So I started coming up with theories about the timeline in relation to Cleo, Emma, and Rikki. Did the real mermaids know about their transformation? Were they already at Mako at that time? Did they use their powers to stay hidden from the girls? Since there’s an entire shoal of mermaids living near Mako, they would have had to remain in hiding constantly.

And then in S3, Rikki appears, confirming that this is the same universe.

I haven’t finished the show yet, so these are just my initial thoughts.

What do you think? Do you have any theories?
