25 y/o transfer student here. I struggle with eating enough and remembering to eat and anticipate that only getting worse having to balance a job and school full time. I am debating investing in a meal plan for the convenience, and the price breakdown per meal isn't too bad.
is the food good though?
I emailed the financial aid office of my school to figure out how to accept my loans/ financial aid and they helped me but also broke down my financial aid notice for me. I guess I had done the math wrong or they had overestimates in there because they informed me I WONT OWE ANYTHING AFTER MY SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS. I emailed them back to ask them if I was reading that right! I still can’t believe it! I already knew it was going to be a pretty low number (1700 something a year) but HOLY SHIT! I cried for 20 minutes after receiving that email. I might cry now writing this. I had to leave the coffee shop because I’m sure the guy next to me thought I was going through it!!
I wish I could hug younger me and tell them everything is going to work out the way it should. That everything they’re doing is not for nothing. That what feels like losing time and time again is the universe making room for something bigger, something way better.
[Forgive me for the unaesthetic meal. I wrote this draft yesterday, I was broken up with later that night so… I’m eating like a toddler today. You win some, you lose some. Trying to keep the same energy I had in this post today. A full ride is infinitely better than a boy who broke my heart.]
