project pan is actually helping me improve my shower hygiene (and mental health)

i’ve noticed that since starting my project pan (and low buy) i’ve become a lot better with my shower hygiene. i actually feel a bit excited to get into the shower everyday and use my products up, in the hopes that i’ll achieve an empty product (and just generally feeling clean and pampered).

the serotonin boost from collecting my empties has now replaced my short lived shopping glee (and subsequent shoppers remorse). i feel like my shower and skincare routines that i’ve developed and sticking with are also helping me improve my mood and feelings towards myself, like creating daily self-care habits. it’s only been a couple of months, but i’m excited to continue my project pan journey!

❤️: cerave sa cleanser, salus body oil, qv cream, nivea soft cream, oaui hair mask

👎: schols heel balm gold, ahava eye serum (smelt so bad), avene sunscreen (white cast and makes my eyes sting)

🚮: maybelline liquid lipstick (old and bad shade on me), covergirl lip gloss (hate the minty menthol plumping sensation)

Blush collection - Mother & Daughter edition ☺️💞

I've never finished a blush before... so I'm making it my next project pan goal!

  1. my blush collection along with my other cheek products (missing 2 liquid highlighters).
  2. my mother’s blush collection with the Haus Labs Fire Moon blush that I recently ‘donated’ to her. she uses the clinique cheek pop on her lips mostly.
  3. my project pan focus, Glossier Cloud Paint in Storm which is my oldest liquid/cream blush. plus my 2 liquid highlights.

I guess seeing my mum’s blush collection compared to mine really shows how different generations view makeup purchases and collections. I don’t think it’s realistic to get my collection down to the minimalist level of my mum, but I would like to appreciate the products I do have and get some good use out of them rather than collecting more. I’ll try to post an update at the end of the year (hopefully i’ll remember to!) or maybe sooner if I make good progress on panning glossier storm.

p.s. Happy Mother’s Day for tomorrow everyone 🥰💐

Just saw this new Lanolips Milkshake Tinted Lip Balm launch on the Mecca website. Retailing for AUD$15 each.

They look pretty glossy so I wonder how they will look swatched side by side with Summer Fridays and Ole Henriksen. The shades are Strawberry, Raspberry, Mocha, Caramel... not revolutionary but given that Lanolips does scents well, I am curious how they will smell in person. Might have to make a visit to Mecca today!

Update: the Ceramide Milkshake Balm has been released on the Lanolips website, retailing for USD$13.50. Lanolips have also released some details of which countries the balms will be coming to soon, see comments for a screenshot of their insta post.
