Opting in or out of agency regs for inside ir35 contract?

Approached about possible inside contract, agency saying client are ‘looking to engage someone on a daily rate contract basis rather than a ftc or paye basis’ as a basis for opting out.

This doesn’t sound quite right to me, as I understand the regs give me some rights such as getting paid if agency aren’t, plus lesser restrictive clause.

Does anyone here choose not to opt out when inside? I always opted out when outside ir35 but agency wanting me to as well here it seems.

Have asked for some clarification in meantime on a daily rate..

**Update - had to opt out in the end, agent didn’t seem to understand and didn’t leave an option not to realistically to progress otherwise. Annoying, but with IT market like it is not wanting to pass what looked like a possible by.

First outing … to the rubbish tip!

GW-BX5600-1A1ER. Really loving the negative MIP display on this, it’s so clear. Got with a 20% discount on the Casio Store in UK code CA5I020 so ended up less than the standard LCD version and more features like being able to put the date format DD-MM.

Anyone using a Gl.iNet Brume 3 or 2?

I wondered if anyone is using a Glinet Brume 3 device between their modem and WiFi/home/mesh network? I am currently on the 1G service and with the supplied Eero Pro 6 router and 6+ mesh nodes/extenders (I bought myself) and a static IP. Am using a 3rd party DNS filtering service with Eero but keen for a better setup with firewall, DPS and other capabilities under my control (and so can block alternative DNS, VPN’s etc). Do have a slate 7 I use for VPN when needed also connected up. I did see the glinet devices can do a drop in gateway mode too, though not the same as using as a router. Anyone done this successfully?
