Casting Call - Toronto Fringe

Looking for actors for Hang in There!, a dark comedy/drama running at Toronto Fringe.

Venue: Soulpepper Theatre
Run: July 2–12
Tech: June 22
Rehearsals: starting ASAP, schedule based on availability

The play is an intimate, actor-driven dark comedy/drama about a retired athlete applying for a state-run assisted death program, and the people around him who try to understand, challenge, stop, or love him through that decision.

Currently seeking: (Ages 25-40)

SHARON — A sharp, funny, morally complicated state auditor. Major role.

WANDA — The lead character’s partner. Grounded, emotionally direct, intelligent. Major emotional confrontation scene.

SAM — The lead character’s agent. Fast-talking, persuasive, panicked, businesslike but emotionally invested.

Best Deal for admission?

At dollarama and i saw there’s a promo where if you buy 3 participating Bimbo Canada products (Hostess, Vachon, Little Bites, Dempster’s, etc.) You can upload the receipt and get a free Cineplex regular admission code for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

So buy 3 cheap snack cakes, get a Mario ticket.

But the rules seem to say that if the Mario movie is no longer playing in Cineplex theatres (ends this week) before the code expires (August 31) , the ticket can be used for other Cineplex movies Sunday–Thursday until the expiry date.

So if you can find cheap smaller Vachon/Hostess stuff at Dollarama, you might be looking at something like $4.50–$9 worth of snacks turning into a regular movie ticket later, plus you still have the snacks!

I felt like Sandler in punch drunk love figuring this out. I am currently searching for $1.50 mega brownies
