I've been planning on getting 2 purple pinchers and I've heard of the 10 gallons per crab rule, so I decided on a 20 gallon tank. However, I've been looking on Petsmart and the two options are either a longer 20 gallon tank with less vertical space or a taller 20 gallon tank with more vertical space and less horizontal space.

I was thinking of buying the taller version so that I could give them as much substrate as possible while also keeping room for climbing toys and their water bowls, but I was wondering if this is still enough room for both of them? 🤔

For reference, the taller version is 25 in L x 13.25 in D x 17.25 in H (63.5 cm in L x 33.655 cm in D x 43.815 cm in H)

The longer one is 30.5 in L x 13.13 in D x 13 in H (77.47 cm in L x 33.35 cm in D x 33 cm in H)

I have a male rainbow stag beetle who I have fed almost nothing but mango for months. Occasionally, I will buy him a banana or an apple or some sort of other fruit but he always seemed to prefer mango to me as he would run to it once I put it in his enclosure. However, as of late, whenever I put some mango in his enclosure he doesn't really eat it. He might eat it for a few minutes but then he goes back to running around seemingly in search of food. I know he might be searching for a mate instead but it concerns me how much time he spends running around since he doesn't really take any breaks and just does it all day, even when I turn the lights on and it gets bright. He'll even try to fly sometimes and hit himself directly into the wall multiple times in a row. I don't want him to run out of energy since he hasn't eaten.

As far as I am aware, his enclosure is fine. He has soil to bury himself in, objects and plants to climb on and I always keep the proper humidity and temperature. Any tips?
