Sweater with this shoulder construction - or one that is close

This is Hedebølge sweater, and the pattern is only available in a new? Danish book, so unavailable to me.

I love this garter stitch shoulder construction, on top of a stockinette rectangle - can you recommend similar patterns? Drop shoulder would be fine. I really love how the garter forms a V on the shoulders.

Cherry sweater collar flops - modifications?

I love the look of the "cherries" in Midori Hirose's Cherry https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cherry-22 I'm thinking about buying the pattern, but I'm wondering how much of it I would have to modify.

The collar seems to flop over in most of the projects. You can see it happening in the designer's own photo here. It's a top down sweater, so you start with the neck. How would you modify it? Thinking of casting on just above the dots, then finishing the neckline with an applied I-cord.

I'd like to knit a larger size collar so that the neckline is wider, but knit the body smaller so that the sweater is not so oversize. I have not knit a round yoke with raglan sweaters, so advice would be very welcome.

Best care for this bare root pear stick

This bare root pear tree was an impulse purchase from our local Forest Service. The tree ranger insisted we need to put it in a bucket of water until it produces buds. Internets say soak for a few hours and plant preferably in early spring (zone 5a, so we are past that).

For the moment I put it atop of moistened coffee chaff to keep the roots moist but not wet. There are a few dried buds and the smaller limbs look a little shriveled, but the trunk and larger branches look viable.

What would you do? Do we have any hope of a partridge in a pear tree for XMas this year? :)
