Very interesting antique Memento Mori pendant— I plan on restoring w/ material, design, & methods of its time

Acquired a very interesting pendant that I wanted to show and learn more about. To my knowledge, this is what I know about the pendant:
- General info: Antique Memento Mori Pendant
- ivory carved skull w/ coral eyes & diamond pins; set in 875 Silver (stamped)
- all gold & heavily decorated at one point but gold plating is faded & gems/decorations removed
- the border might’ve houses either similar coral used in the eyes or has had jet/enamel filling
- noticed the top & bottom, left & right where the empty space is— must’ve had some ornate decorations removed given there parts of the pendant “filed” and shaven down

I’m in love with this piece & want to know more about it to have it restored w/ materials, and methods of it time

Memento Mori Pendant project —United States

Acquired a very interesting pendant that I wanted to show and learn more about. To my knowledge, this is what I know about the pendant:
- General info: Antique Memento Mori Pendant
