First in My NuCamp 320 S

First trip in both the Jeep and the NuCamp Tab 320 S so far! Loving it so far!

First pic is Palo Duro Canyon State Park in Texas and the second is Red Rock Canyon State Park in Oklahoma. I bet you can not guess how Red Rock got its name! :)

Boon Docking, no hookups!

Propane fill question

Newbie! First propane fill

I caught them on their lunch hour so I did not see anyone but they had a large sign that said "Propane tanks must be placed on ground. Our employees will not help with this"

Is this normal or should I just go to a different place? A 40 pound bottle full weighs 70 pounds. This pretty much rules out a lot senior citizens manhandling their tanks.

I am 63 and I think I can pull it off but dead lifting 70 pounds waist high, getting in the exact place and securing it again (3 bolts) strikes me as onerous process to do on a regular basis.

In summer. 40 pounds is worth about 25-30 hours on the generator. (other than AC I can run off battery)

Sorry, I am rambling... Is this normal?

So I can't afford one of the cool systems right now and I am doing a Memorial Day trip (my first outing in my new jeep) but I do have a sheet of plywood so I was going to make my own shelf hinged on the aft seat mount. Once I got the seats out and as I was taking measurements I had an "Aha moment" and wondered aloud, do I really need to do all of that?

I have a few 27 gallon tubs from Home Depot I got real cheap on sale last year and I thought, "Hmmm Give it a shot!"

3 of the tubs feet fit fine with one foot up on the center hump. But the 4th foot was in the air would rock all day. Damn! Wait a minute, a piece of scrap 2 X 4 under the 4th foot and it fits perfect! No rocking. That is some mighty fine red necking right there now! :)

The tub tilts backwards a bit but that is actually a good thing. Ratchet straps in the seat hooks and it's a done deal!

It's almost like it was made for this! All loaded up (simulated) and I still have 1/2 of the bed free!

I fall more in love with Jeep everyday!
