I called therapy homework 'personal projects' and did not elaborate.

My birthday resolution this year was to not over explain every decision in my life so other people could validate me. Hopefully eventually I'll be able to trust my decisions more by doing this. Anyway this is a huge accomplishment and I'm really proud of myself.

Brushed my teeth before bed every night for a week!

My mental health made it hard for me to take care of myself for about a year but now I finally feel like I'm slowly but surely getting back to myself.

I asked to speak with a supervisor for the first time every and I promise it's justified.

I know this sounds bad but I ordered some food and I didn't get a single item I ordered. Instead I got the same number of items but the dishes were all different. When I started to chat with customer care they denied me a refund at first because it's not the service provider's responsibility, it's the restaurant's. I said that's your job to figure out. I ordered through your service so you're my poc. Anyway it's been going on for an hour, they are willing to refund half my order amount only and they refuse to give me a reason, just that 'they're sorry for the inconvenience caused'.

Anyway I finally told the poor person I was speaking with to connect me to their supervisor because I want a clear reason and I will accept it. I can't give you a refund is a statement, it isn't a reason. Anyway I'm feeling terrible but this is unacceptable!

So often I've just accepted incorrect others thinking it's food, might as well eat it instead of wasting it but this time I don't know why I'm just angry at all the corporations taking advantage of their customers and putting their employees on the firing line to handle such things while they live in their insulated palaces!!

Today I cut the sleeves off of two tshirts!

My mom always told me that's a gateway to more deviant behaviour.. Lol so I never did it even though the sleeves were too long and made me very uncomfortable.

I requested for a better price at the hairdresser and got it!

This is the first time I've bargained for anything because it always felt like i was being a cheapskate but I saw someone do it the last time I was there and thought why not try it myself.

I hate how easy it is for therapists to say they're trauma informed! I'm sure they understand it conceptually but most don't seem to understand how pervasive the impact is when coming from a narcissistic family of origin!

I've visited 5 therapists and one coach in the past 5 years and not one has been able to meet me where I am. They tell me to reduce my screentime, exercise and sleep better. That is their cure for my debilitating anxiety about getting out of the house. That is their cure for me keeping my house clean. That is their cure for everything! On the face of it it seems like good advice to start with but i grew up in a house where if my parents saw me i would be verbally abused for existing, shamed for my appearance, told I'm not good enough or something else to shatter my self-esteem, so i learned to live in the shadows. I've been living alone for 5 years and i can still hear my parents say that I'm not doing it right or existing right whether i do anything in my own house. Just surviving takes so much energy. Yet therapists want to cure my depression without even asking why i am the way i am! It's so bloody frustrating because everyone says 'go to therapy' but therapists only make me feel like a loser who should have it together but doesn't!

TLDR: my dad, who never wanted a daughter and exclusively provided for his son, is planning to retire with no savings. He is likely going to go to court to demand maintenance from me, his daughter. Do i have any legal way to not give him the money or to declare a lower net worth so i don't need to give him as much?

Full story: My dad never wanted a daughter so he literally spent nothing on me. The only reason i was even allowed to get a bachelor's degree was because his relative told him it would be good for my marriage. So i was allowed to do bcom at a local college.

My brother on the other hand went to a very famous boarding school and then to a fancy University to do a degree that he didn't even use. My brother has never really worked long-term he would either get bored of the job or expect that he should be promoted within a few months of joining. He also parties a lot and spends beyond his means. My dad has spent close to 2cr on covering his expenses and paying his loans over the past 15 years. All this while telling my mom that he has no money.

Now the issue is he wants to retire despite no savings. He's thinking of selling the house and moving to a smaller house but he thinks that will only last 10 years. Also within that house money he has already earmarked 30% to give to his son because 'otherwise how will he manage'. I've been working for the past 10 years and have built up a small corpus by living very frugally because i knew that i would never have any inheritance or anything to fall back on if i needed to make big purchases. i know that his eye is already on that but i don't want to give it to him.

Do i have any legal way to not give him the money or to declare a lower net worth so i don't need to give him as much?
