Curious about the USDA South Building

I'm not a federal employee, but I did used to live in DC, and not too far from the USDA South Building. My understanding is that, as the government looks to further de-centralize the USDA workforce, the building is in active wind-down mode, though not yet fully vacated. I also understand (though could be wrong) that the building may be eventually scrapped from the list of federal properties?

Anyway, for those who are willing to share, I'd be super curious to hear about your personal experiences with the building — the good, the bad, the neutral. I've read a very brief history of it, and it sounds so impressive with all the laboratories, etc., but would be eager to hear more from folks who've actually spent time there.

Two very tall housing buildings set for E Wburg near Win Son

For those who live near Win Son, looks like crews are close to finished demolishing a city Department of Transportation property along Montrose Avenue a few doors down from Win Son Bakery. It's a pretty big space, so I've been curious to see what's going in there. Got my answer (and also details on something similar going up nearby).

A pair of 14- and 13-story affordable housing buildings. According to this article, "both will reserve 60% of their units for formerly homeless individuals, with the remaining apartments offered at rents affordable to low-income households."

Crossing my fingers these aren't hideous.

Aburi Sushi permanently closed?

This was my go to sushi spot for a basic weeknight sushi order. Google Maps says it’s closed for good. Does anyone know what happened? I’m shocked :(

Thoughts on Zoli

Zoli, which has been open now for a little over five weeks, popped up in East Williamsburg and it’s kind of an insane space. Like, a ton of money was poured into this place.

I’ve been twice. Food is kind of mid given what it’s attempting to be, but the ambiance is cool. Bartender said most people who come in seem to be rolling up in cars.

Anyone else been? Thoughts? It’s very out-of-character for where it is.

I have two corner cabinet door spaces in my kitchen, and I'd like to go for a modern look that's not wooden and that does fold in the middle when you open it.

In my head, I'm thinking a non-translucent, corrugated (or reeded) glass door that curves inward and swings open. I can't find this online, though. But I might also be searching with the wrong terms. Does anyone know where I can find something like this, or commission it?

Thank you!
