Josiah’s store to organize

Somebody at Josiah’s (highly modified TikTok drink pusher) store needs to start talking about their wages and what Starbucks is paying him (around $80k or more) to keep positive brand relations (to overlook the company’s union busting labor law violations, slave-like conditions found in Brazil supply chain, condemning Starbucks Workers United’s support for Palestine signed off in a letter, etc.) versus the regular Starbucks worker with a 1600 times removed pay gap from our CEO Brian Niccol and to organize https://sbworkersunited.org/take-action/

"abschließen" konjugieren

Hi all, I have the following text I am working through to understand - (the person's name is Marco) "Als ich vor drei Jahren mein Studium abschloss, wusste ich, dass ich etwas Neues erleben wollte."

The homework question is richtig/falsch to "Marco hat sein Studium vor zwei Jahren abgeschlossen."

I know the answer is falsch because the text says Marco had finished history studies 3 years ago, not 2 years ago. But I am not understanding the conjugation of abschließen in the quote. Would abgesclossen not be used instead of abschloss?
Are both correct for some reason? Is it a special kind of phrasing for conjugating a wish somebody had made in the past for the future? I am also seeing Präteritum being used for the written past tense with wollte, which I understand, but am not sure if related to the conjugation. Thank you

Thank you union partners for winning the grace period for us all!

And the point system that you all proposed and negotiated first before Starbucks rolled out. In my 14 years, a grace period would have saved many innocent baristas. But we also need more worker protections (just cause employment, Weingarten rights, etc.) around discipline in case the new point system does not curb favoritism with time & attendance, so let’s organize!

There is power when we organize

@sbworkersunited on Instagram

Union baristas have won better hours, discipline removals, faster equipment fixes, backpay, reinstatements, in-store improvements, and even new managers after taking action in their stores! No matter what Starbucks pressures us to think, a union is you and your coworkers joining together to make real, material change ... and we are only growing stronger together!

Union Partner Outreach for Not-Yet-Organized Partners

Hi, I am an organized partner from Oklahoma. I am proud to stand with 11,000 organized partners across the country fighting for a better Starbucks, now, and for partners to come. Fun fact, the origin of our part-time benefits came from the won demands of the first Starbucks organizers, UFCW 1001 in Seattle in 1985, two years before Howard Schultz bought the company and claimed credit.

This question is for not-yet-organized partners.

What organizing outreach do you think would be effective for us to engage with that we have not already been doing? The more we organize, the more we win. Our power is in our numbers. Union strong!

Anybody know where to find the Brian Jones/John Lennon/Jimi Hendrix supergroup demo tapes?

Recorded at Olympic studios, per Genesis P Orridge, mentioned at 2:11

while our CEO made 6,666 X the average Starbucks barista last year, and the company has spent hundreds of millions of dollars on union busting lawyers. My coworkers are protected from this change because the company has not bargained with us on this matter yet.

For those pissed about the new policing about food consumption off premises, your voice adding to our 11,000 partners across the country is what will force the company to be better for us and partners to come, just like how the company took from our extended parental leave union proposal.
