Potential Navee customer

So I will come clean - I drive a Segway Max G3 and at the moment Navee's Max G3 equivalent is in my option outclassed.

Still if they bring out a UT5 Max equivalent that does not require me to have a gym membership or a physio on standby I am genuinely interested. 34kg -- seriously! 24.6kg is just manageable. The UT5 really looks nice and I would love 12" tires hydraulic anti-lock brakes and rear indicators on a commuter e-scooter. Stability is key for me at least.

Hey Navee if you reading I some suggestions.

First off please let me have a slider that lets me set max speed in 1 km/h increments. For me 25 km/h is too slow and 32 km/h and above is too fast!

Self - cancelling indicators - does anyone do this. Hint - don't follow - lead. It's hard enough to find the button to switch any indicator on but what do you mean I have to switch it off!

I think you can set battery charging level to not 100% i.e. 80% -- right?

Does the app store previous rides? If it did you could use AI to previous rides and calculate how much range I really have.

Bluetooth unlock does it have different sensitivities? i.e. Near / medium / Far

What about an alarm? Is there one?

Use AI to look at Oh something you see on bikes - a rear radar that detects cars etc.

Overall excited to see Segway have a competitor who wants to offer more for less - eager to see how things develop.

To all e-scooter manufactures Navee included - there is this thing called customer service and actually it's important 😉

Front bearing failure at just over 4000 km - replacement tip

Max G3E

Did they wear out - probably but the fact they were digging up the road I live on with this fancy machine, which basically made a trench with a mixture of fine stone particles and tar absolutely did not help.

I replaced them with SKF 6001-2RSH/G3GJN. Not cheap but boy they are smooth and supposed to be super sealed too. Here is a link: https://www.skf.com/de/products/rolling-bearings/ball-bearings/deep-groove-ball-bearings/productid-6001-2RSH%2FC3GJN if anyone else is interested.

The RSH refers to the seal it a rubber seal with high efficiency so provides really good protection against ingress and road dust especially as I don't always ride on paved roads.

The C3 refers to the internal clearance and basically means when they heat up they don't have as much resistance.

The GJN refers to the grease which is like a massive upgrade on the stock ones.

Oh and a tip - once your bearings go - don't keep riding it like I did! One of the bearings totally ceased and then wore down the shaft - ouch - wondered why it was so noisy!!

I had to use Locktite 638 to get round the problem as the bearing just fell out and of course the replacement bearing was just turning in the shaft too.

Things really became interesting though when the other bearing totally collapsed - I could hear it ejecting the ball bearings!! Incredibly I could still ride it but the wobble was insane.

Other than that I still have the original tires and brake pads which I put down to the regenerative braking.
