An ARIYA a turtle and the dreaded stuck Electronic Parking Break

My Ariya died after turtle mode, got towed, charged to 100%, thought I was golden, but then the electronic parking brake started flashing and wouldn’t release. I frantically googled and Reddit searched and watched YouTube and tried the usual hold for 7 push for 10 and do that 3-4 times, even thought about disconnecting the 12-volt.

After enough fiddling with the EPB switch, the flashing cleared and it finally released. I couldn’t tell you the magic combo I did.

In other cars I had this there was a manual release cable to override it but I don’t think the ARIYA has that.

If this happens to you, keep working the switch to reset it. Not fun, but it worked. If anyone knows the proper EPB reset for a full drain, please do share. The things I saw online looked very involved.

Lesson learned I was half a block from the charging station and thought I could make it but I hit a gnarly hill and just couldn’t get there. Going to keep it between 80-20% from now on.

What are the things you put in place post relapse as boundaries or conditions of your Q reintegrating into the family, taking up family responsibilities again?

I’ve heard things like obviously verifiable sobriety as given, (soberlink or breathalyzer or UA?), attendance of a regular program, the consequences if they relapse etc which is all things they’re responsible for. What are examples of things that can provide stability structure safety etc?
