The Future of Laredo is F**ked - read description

The future does not look bright for the City of Laredo. The youth can change the political landscape. New young candidates from non-affluent backgrounds, transparency and introduction of new ideas from educates leaders. No more rich families running no more of the same career politicians
seeking only personal financial gain.

• water deal out of nowhere benefiting Tano’s wife’s family - The Walker family

• UISD in financial chaos directly affecting the education and future of 90% of the youth.

• Conservative Border Politics harming the local economy and our trade economy. Divisive propaganda dividing Mexican neighbors and Hispanic American citizens.

• increase in violent crimes - LEO committing assaults and crimes, youth involved shootings, road rage shootings. Just no emotional control in many of these.

• The City being corrupt for years and selling us out to Flock mass surveillance and Data Centers. The people don’t get a voice in these decision and when we push back they double down and continue with dealings that will negatively affect our community. Poor management of funds despite bridge revenue and tax revenue. Just endless money pits that don’t benefit the general population.

• Elites, Doctors, and Lawyers in City Council making $70,000/YR + pension while their main careers take up most of their attention and time.

• Housing costs are insane for what the city has to offer. Realtors and builders conspiring to make more money on commissions and sales. High rents driving local business out of business.

• The job market is trash with no improvement despite being a massive trade hub with billions of dollars in trade coming thru here.

We need the younger generation to save the city and be involved and present.

Maybe I am being pessimistic but everything feels so out of the control of the people and I don’t see how things will get better in the future.

550 Pizzeria

Everytime I order for delivery they forget to bag the appetizers, pastas, or include the add ons I paid for the pizza.

Most times I have to drive all the way there to pick up the forgotten item so it’s counter productive to order delivery.

Food is great always tho and I love supporting local BUT I hate having to loss $15-20 per order each time. No issues when Ive picked up because I can tell them Im missing something etc. anyone else have similar experience?

Tacos Kissi raising the price on combos bummed me out. Same with el venado

El venado use to be like $9 for a burrito now it’s like $15+. Pino is also like $15 for a combo. Popo still be holding it down for us humble folks.

Mexico vs South Africa game analysis and my line up for South Korea.

Just my opinions feel free to agree or disagree.

The Attack
• Raul Jimenez- looks to be in form and motivated with his move back to Wolves. If they they can get him the ball in the box he can finish. Gimenez should be his sub, Hormiga looked shaky/nervous. Gimenez is the better player.
• Julian/Piojo - Speed + Goal threat and passing/dribbling. Good balance.

The Midfield
The mid felt very disconnected from the back line too much space between CBs and Fidalgo/Gutierrez/Lira. I would rather have Fidalgo/Lira as my CMs a balance of defensive play and deep play making to take the burden off the CBs. Fidalgo could get the ball quicker from defense and control tempo.
Gutierrez & Mora- Gutierrez looked nervous as well seemed he didn’t settle in and at times looked unconfident, prob why Vasco subbed him first. Now, might as well let Mora loose worst case he is shaky as well but he has more upside. Fidalgo and Lira would be perfect support for him.
Subs- Vargas/Chavez for the CMs and Gutierrez for Mora.

Defense:
Rangel looked solid. Great distribution. The CBs were cautious moving the ball up and held up play too long, killing some of the game flow holding the ball too long, you could see several times where Gallardo had space and they passed it back inside. Same with getting the ball to the Midfielders. I think a 2 CM formation will help with defending counters and taking some of the deep play making and tempo role from Johan. Edson should cover for Montes since we only have 2 true CBs. Edson has more experience playing the position than Romo. Romo would be emergency CB sub. Gallardo is good enough and Israel Reyes is defensively sound although I worry about his pace against world class wingers.

Here we go again..

I had a consipracy theory that they never figured out how to treat the water and they just been flushing the chlorine as a lazy fix. I don’t think they are capable of running a water treatment plant. We have vacanciesfor superbisor positions, who is supervising the water plants?

Dr. Tyler King

I don’t think he is a good council member. We should have medical field professionals stick to their profession. We should have council members that have enough bandwidth to due their job. We should have a council member that isn’t socially acquainted with the high society because of their professions. The only people I see support King are other rich people who just hang out with him as friends.

Is this normal? This specific planes data is vague. Surveillance? Cloud Seeding? It’s 2:00 am btw.

Noticed a faint light in the sky moving and coming back around just thought the flight pattern is odd

The Mayor and council member sold out on the wall and BPs demands so they can get govt funding they can then abuse.

Laredo has existed since before the USA was formed and throughout it’s entire existence there has never been a wall or barrier needed. We don’t need a wall.

PF Changs actually sucks. I don’t know if it’s just the way the Laredo location is managed or if this is all of them but damn.

Waited forever for curbside. Got down and no one ever came by so I grabbed the bags with my name and there was some other people’s food at the bottom of the bag with MY order. (sorry Chelsea who ordered the xtra orange chicken).

The food was also terrible soggy chicken and burnt fried rice.
