I thought all my critters got lost in one of my parents’ moves, but my three year old pulled this out from under a bed today!

I’m so excited! I’ve had the urge to collect these again in adulthood, but I’ve been a little sad to not have my childhood ones.

When to take head/body pads out? Graco 4ever DLX

My toddler is 30lbs, 3 years old. As I recall, the manual was a little bit confusing for me to interpret on this question, but I currently can’t find it. He seems comfortable, but I want to make sure I don’t keep the pads in if it’s not safe.

Referred to yet another doctor for knee pain after 5 year old car accident injury and repair

I don’t know if I’m looking to vent or maybe see if anyone else has had similar experiences.

I shattered my knee cap against the passenger side dashboard in a car accident 5 years ago. I had surgery, it has a metal plate screwed into it now. I finished my first round of physical therapy within the year after the accident.

Five years later, I still live with daily pain. I can’t kneel on the floor, I’m not a runner, but now I definitely won’t be, and going up stairs is really painful. I just finished another round of physical therapy and was referred to sports medicine after several months of it not improving significantly. Sports medicine referred me to trauma, who didn’t think I belonged there because it wasn’t recent or something, and referred me to orthopedics.

I got fresh X-rays and they found mild arthritis, which could be a bit of an explanation. They gushed over how nicely installed they thought my hardware was. Ortho is torn between consulting me about a surgery to remove the hardware or sending me back to sports medicine for steroid shots. Sports medicine was concerned about the risk of infection being more serious with shots involved because of the metal in my knee. They asked my opinion on what I wanted to do for some reason- I’m literally asking doctors what will help with the pain, I’m open to whatever they think is the best option.

I’m curious to hear from anyone who’s been through something similar. I’m going on 40, which seems to be a major factor in them not considering total replacement until other options are exhausted.

This subreddit loves to advise dropping gluten. I love gluten, but my hashi’s flares have gotten more frequent lately, so I’m willing to try a thing.

Day 4 of being gluten free. On day 1, I ate a gluten free breakfast at a restaurant, but got a biscuit on the side. On day 2, I messed up and split a box of mac and cheese with my toddler. Yesterday, I fed my husband and child gluten free quesadillas and they didn’t notice. Today, I thought about making the kid pancakes or waffles for breakfast, but we don’t have gluten free flour currently and I’m not cooking for him and not sharing. In short, this is really hard with a family I don’t want to inflict my diet on. How long does it take before you can tell if it’s affecting you?

I know a doctor can test for gluten intolerance, but I’ve read on here that some people who test tolerant still find that eliminating it helps them feel better.
