2018 Transmission - replace it or the entire vehicle?

Just got the call from my mechanic that my transmission fluid sample was incredibly burnt and dirty. I'm already over 190k total mileage. I don't have an official estimate yet because they are still getting prices, but I know I'm expecting a pricey repair... Should I just shopping for a new vehicle, or trust my engine to last with a new or rebuilt transmission? Any advice is appreciated, as I've never put this many miles on one single vehicle in my lifetime. Let me know if you have had yours replaced at a high mileage and if you think it's worth it.

Edit to add: it's a 2018 CX-5 touring, I've owned it since it was brand new

Recommended snail eater for my community tank?

About to go in for some much needed hornwort trimming because this stuff doesn't stop!

Here are the current residents of my 55gal tank: 5 angelfish, a clown pleco, giant sparkling gouramis, ember tetras, gold tetras, kuhli loaches, and an assortment of pygmy and dainty corys.

I have a separate pea puffer tank, so manually sucking these MTS and mud snails (I think?) out and feeding the snails to them is an option - however they just DO NOT stop reproducing and they are SO SMALL!! I can deal with ramshorn and bladder snails but these mud snails especially are on a different level of infestation. I bought 4 assassin snails but I don't think they can keep up... One of them died already, two of them won't stop mating, and I haven't seen the fourth in weeks 😭

I would really love to add a dedicated snail eater to our community tank and I'd appreciate hearing from those who have done it themselves! Open to any suggestions of who you favor, who to avoid, etc.

Sick, or just skinny?

I've had my pea puffers for 6 months now. We started with 6 and lost one early on, and these 5 have been going strong for a bit. One of them looks skinnier than the rest and I'm trying to figure out if it is sick or just skinny? It still eats, just takes a minute to strike at snails or scuds. Everyone else is round and happy. Any advice appreciated!

1+ year later, we have a red rili from blue jellies and velvet neos!

Shrimp genetics are crazy! We have at least one perfect looking red rili, and then some other blue jellies with red spots, legs, eyes, etc.
