Anyone been to Sake Festival Last year? What's the vibe/feedback?
Hi guys,
Was hoping to get some feedback from those who attended previously
I enjoy Sake but paying $70-80 just to enter seems quite steep. What is it like inside, do you have to pay even more for the tastings? Are there many tastings? Is there ample variety to purchase at reasonable prices?
OR is it a novelty lol
Booking LATAM flight that is competing with QAN flight with QAN points
Hi guys,
Trying to line up a SCL-SYD reward flight for later in the year and for some reason no matter the date and despite the LATAM flight being empty, the qantas website DOES NOT show any direct LATAM flights on points for ANY dates (they only show the non direct flight re-routing you to either aukland/melbourne as a stop-over) - I suspect this is because it's directly competing with a direct QANTAS flight that flies this route pretty much exact same time.
I have previously had luck calling them up and asking them to check for seats on specific LATAM flights (for a different reason however, mostly because the route did not appear on the qantas portal) and they'd tell me if each route had any reward flights available which was not on the website and did end up booking a few flights that way. Wondering if it could work again?
Has anyone done this in the past and had any success with it?

smh.com.auAdvice needed - Phaco wound construction and descemet's flaps
Hi all, I'm a resident, have done 400-500 cataract cases and am very efficient at doing them. I had no issue making wounds or getting descemet's flaps until recently where I had a few attendings make me do super long wounds and now i'm trying to revert back to my normal 3 step wound construction but I find that I get a small descemet's flap no matter what I do.
Nothing big enough to ever cause any change to the final VA (It's maybe 1-2mm in length at most and sticks back on the cornea without intervention at the end of the case) but I did have one the other week where it was big enough that it could have caused trouble and ever since then I've locked in on making sure I don't have that happen again and I'm noticing that despite trying my best, I end up getting a small flap in like 60-70% of my cases.
I put it down to my wound construction but I'm not sure!! Is the wound too small for the phaco sleeve maybe??
Any advice from more experienced surgeons is appreciated.
EDIT - Will record next week's lists and provide a video for feedback!!
