Oddly satisfying 😌

I don't support police brutality but this is very satisfying. You lose your rights when you endanger others.

Saving money to buy land

I'm planning to buy some land after 2 years. I have been saving some money in a savings account I opened just for this reason.

I send all my extra money to that account.

Is there a better way to park my money for 2 years?

Never been in a relationship

I'll be 33 in two months and I have been sexually active since I was 18 years old. Is it weird that I have never been in a proper relationship?

Is there anyone else who is in the same boat?

As I'm getting older, I can't help but feel this sense of doom that I will be alone forever.

I had posted about pink amaranth a few days ago. Today I wanted to show three other types of Amaranth that I am growing this year in the garden.

  1. White Amaranth

  2. Wild Amaranth

  3. Red Amaranth

My aim through these posts is to spread awareness about traditional varieties we are losing to standardization.

PS: Forgive any errors in the Odia text. I'm not used to typing or writing in odia. Been a long time since school.

Have you eaten these?

I found this enroute Jiranga when we stopped at a waterfall. I didn't know it's name that time neither had I ever eaten it. Though I recognised it from another common fruit found in Odisha.

I do know it's name now but I just wanted to know if you guys have eaten it and what is it called locally in your area?

Also share pics of wild fruits you're enjoying this summer, if you have any.

Thanks.

Guys is this batiya?

Today's thunderstorm is very batiya-esque. I'm worried because I'm literally surrounded by coconut trees lol.

What are the land prices in your region?

I currently farm on a small leased plot and wish to buy my own land in a year or two. So I wanted to know what are the prices per acre of Agricultural/Wateland in various places of Odisha.

I just have two criteria:

  1. Should be general land.

  2. Should have it's own independent road.

If you are aware of the agricultural land prices in your area, please do comment. It will be helpful for me to make an informed decision later.

PS: Not looking for real-estate agents.

Need help sourcing some turmeric rhizomes.

Anyone here who works at OUAT or is involved with them in any manner?

I have been looking to source few turmeric varieties developed by OUAT like Roma, Rashmi, Kalinga1, Kalinga 2 etc. I honestly don't know if I can get some in Bhubaneswar or where to look.

Any guidance would be appreciated. 🙏

PS: Pic is of Blue Turmeric I grew last year.

Best businesses for rural areas?

I'm interested in Organic farming and has been doing the same for 3 years on a leased plot of land. I feel like I'm ready to buy my own land. But with my income I won't ever be able to catch up with the exponentially growing land prices. 😪

I'm considering starting a small business with my savings that would generate good money to go into my land fund.

Keep in mind I live in a rural area so the business should be according to that.

Only serious answers please. Thanks 😁

Please suggest few cool Tampara (Dried Shrimp) recipes

I sell small batches of tampara on instagram and I wish to create few simple recipe reels for more reach. Generally I add tampara in small quantities in any tarkari or like to make a chutney out of it.

But I would also like to know few recipes where tampara is the main star.

thanks.
