New discovery by yours truly. Breaking bad: an allegory for the Cold War?

I couldn’t help but notice that Bogdan (from the hit series breaking bad ( 绝命毒师 )) looks awfully familiar to a certain ex-Soviet leader…after careful analysis and expert Craniometry (the sciences of studying cranium sizes) I have deducted that Bogdan was purposely chosen by show runner Vince Gilligan due to his uncanny resemblance to former Soviet leader Leonoid Brezhnev. See images above.

Could the show, perhaps, be an allegory for the Cold War?

Anyone with any information at all, please, with the utmost speed and agility, chime in. This is urgent, pressing information. I am, by some means, on the precipice of scientific discovery.

Why are so many characters bald?

I just finished watching Breaking Bad and am surprised to see how many characters are bald or have very little hair. Walter, Hank, Mike and even Gus and Jesse to a lesser extent. The only male character that is not entirely bad is Saul but even he has a noticeably large bald spot.

Could there, perhaps, be any symbolize in this extra ordinary presence of follically-challenged men? Are the show runners perhaps arguing that bald men are more prone to processing a weak moral conscious? Are follically-gifted women, thus, a symbol of morality or innocence?

Hammock camping in Costa Rica???

I am traveling to Costa Rica for three weeks in June with a friend. We plan on surfing in Nosara and Santa Theresa and hiking in monteverde cloud forest if possible.

To save money, we were planning to hammock camping outside of hostels and paying a bit to stay on their land and use their showers etc.

I solo traveled in Senegal last summer and did this most nights. I’m wondering if this is applicable for Costa Rica?

Has anyone done this? Is this common? Will I be able to find hostels that are willing to do this?

I would appreciate any and all input/ advice. Thanks! 🤙🤙

Buying boards for a surf trip in Costa Rica

I’m visiting Costa Rica this June for three weeks with a friend. We plan to surf the whole trip along the coast from Nosara to Santa Theresa. We’re worried boards are going to be expensive if we rent the whole time.

I was wondering if could buy boards somewhere in Costa Rica and then sell them at the end of the trip. From what I’ve seen- rental prices are fairly high and we’re traveling on a pretty tight budget so I was hoping to save some money by doing this.

Does anyone have any experience with this, tips, or advice? Would appreciate any info. Thanks!
